Ring’s Two-Doorbell Bundle Is Discounted—but the Old $109.98 Price Is Historical

The $109.98 Ring two-doorbell deal was real—but it is no longer a safe current price. Here’s what the bundle costs now, which model to verify, and whether two battery doorbells make sense for your home.

Verdict: The two-doorbell Ring deal advertised at $109.98 was real on June 12, 2025, but that is not a safe current price. Ring’s U.S. deals page showed the newer two-pack at $129.99 on August 18, 2026, down from $169.99. At that price, it is a good buy for a home that genuinely needs coverage at two entrances—not for someone who only needs one doorbell.

What the original deal actually was

Yahoo Tech published the deal on June 12, 2025, attributing it to Amazon: two Ring battery video doorbells in Venetian Bronze for $109.98 total. The article described that price as 35% off and highlighted the bundle as costing less than one more advanced standalone doorbell. Amazon prices can change with inventory, color, seller, account, tax, and shipping, so the promotion should be treated as a dated price alert rather than a standing offer.

The historical price works out to $54.99 per doorbell. Do not call it “today’s deal” unless the live retailer listing confirms that price on the day you publish or update the article.

What is the current price?

Ring’s official U.S. deals page showed a 2-Pack Battery Doorbell, 2K newest model, for $129.99 on August 18, 2026, marked down from $169.99. That is approximately $65 per doorbell. Ring’s separate product page has also displayed $169.99 against a $199.98 comparison price, which indicates that price, finish, geography, promotion, or page state can affect the offer.

Check the final cart before buying. The Ring deals page is the appropriate place to verify Ring’s offer, while an Amazon listing should be checked for the exact model, seller, finish, stock, shipping, and total price.

Which Ring model is included?

This is the most important qualification. The 2025 deal article described a “new 2024 model” with 1536p video, head-to-toe viewing, color night vision, motion detection, Live View, two-way talk, Alexa compatibility, and a redesigned push-pin mount. Those descriptions should not automatically be applied to the current bundle.

Ring’s current catalog uses newer naming: Battery Doorbell (2nd Gen) or 2-Pack Battery Doorbell, with Retinal 2K video. The current partner specification lists:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • 1920×1920 resolution.
  • 173-degree diagonal field of view.
  • 140-degree horizontal and vertical views.
  • Built-in rechargeable battery.
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 4).
  • Infrared night vision.
  • Mechanical and digital chime compatibility.
  • Customizable motion zones, Live View, and two-way talk.

Use the exact model name and SKU shown on the live retailer page. If the old Amazon listing is gone, the safest conclusion is that the historical article’s precise product identifier cannot be independently confirmed from the current listing. Do not silently relabel the 2025 deal as the current second-generation bundle.

What you get from each doorbell

The current battery-doorbell bundle is designed for two separate entry points. Each unit supports motion alerts, customizable motion zones, Live View, two-way talk, infrared night vision, and compatible Alexa integrations. It connects over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, so coverage at both the front and rear—or side—entrance matters.

Battery operation is useful when there is no existing doorbell wiring, including some rental situations where the owner permits mounting. The 2024 model used a push-pin mounting design intended to simplify removal for charging. Current second-generation documentation says existing 8–24VAC wiring can provide trickle charging, and compatible Ring solar accessories may reduce manual charging. Neither option makes the doorbell entirely maintenance-free.

Battery life varies with temperature, traffic, motion-event volume, Live View use, Wi-Fi quality, and installation conditions. Cold weather and a busy sidewalk can mean more frequent charging. Professional installation is separate; Ring product pages list installation starting at approximately $129.99 per device, with actual pricing depending on location and model.

  • Capture it all with Retinal 4K video — See your home or business in the ultimate clarity with Retinal 4K.
  • Zoom in up to 10x — Catch details at a distance with up to 10x Enhanced Zoom.
  • See, hear and speak to visitors on camera — With Live View & Two-Way Talk with Audio+, you’ll be able to interact with who’s there in real time, right from your phone.
  • Tailored detection for more exact alerts — 3D Motion Detection pinpoints motion on your property so you’ll receive more precise alerts and fewer interruptions.
  • True color, even in low light — With Low-Light Sight, just a little ambient light gives you true color video. In total darkness, your camera switches to crisp black-and-white to keep details sharp.

The subscription cost changes the calculation

You can use Ring doorbells without Ring Protect. Basic use generally includes phone notifications, Live View, two-way talk, device management in the Ring app, and compatible Alexa features. The important limitation is recording: after the eligible trial ends, stored recordings and other advanced features require an eligible plan. Ring says recordings can be retained for up to 180 days with a qualifying plan, and its listed free trial is 30 days after setup subject to regional and account terms.

For two doorbells at one address, Ring’s relevant plan is usually Ring Multi, not two separate Solo subscriptions:

  • Ring Solo: $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year for one home doorbell or camera.
  • Ring Multi: $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year for all home devices at one location.
  • Ring Pro: $19.99 per month or $199.99 per year, with broader advanced and monitoring-related capabilities.

Using the prices shown August 18, 2026, the first-year totals are:

Scenario Hardware Annual Multi plan First-year total
Historical promotion $109.98 $99.99 $209.97 before tax
Current deals-page price $129.99 $99.99 $229.98 before tax

Hardware-only use costs less, but it sacrifices recorded-video access. Multi and Pro cover devices at one location; a primary residence and a separate vacation home or rental property generally require separate plan coverage. Existing Ring customers should check their account: a Multi or Pro subscriber may be able to add both doorbells at the same address, while a Solo subscriber may need to upgrade.

Remember the indoor chime

The historical deal does not establish that a Ring Chime, spare battery, solar charger, or other accessory was included. The doorbells can send phone alerts, but buyers wanting a dedicated indoor audible alert should verify the package contents or budget for a Chime. Ring’s catalog showed Chime 3rd Gen at about $34.99 on August 18, 2026. An Alexa-enabled device may also provide compatible announcements, but that depends on the device and setup.

Who should buy two?

  • Homes with front and rear doors that both need video coverage.
  • Properties with a detached garage, side gate, or secondary entrance.
  • Existing Ring households already paying for Multi or Pro at the same address.
  • Renters who need removable, battery-powered installation and have permission to mount the devices.
  • Buyers who value one app and coordinated management more than local storage or zero recurring costs.

Who should skip the bundle?

  • A single-entry home that only needs one camera.
  • Anyone requiring local recording without a cloud subscription.
  • Homes with weak 2.4GHz Wi-Fi at either installation point.
  • Buyers who cannot conveniently remove and recharge both batteries.
  • People seeking the strongest low-light performance, premium detection features, 5GHz support, or a more robust wired installation.
  • Anyone whose final price approaches $169.99 without a clear need for two units.

Alternatives worth considering

If you need only one entrance, compare a single Ring Battery Doorbell or Battery Doorbell Plus rather than buying a second camera you will not use. Ring’s catalog showed model-dependent prices ranging from approximately $69.99 to $179.99 on August 18, 2026.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

If image quality and advanced capabilities matter more than quantity, the Ring Battery Doorbell Pro was listed at approximately $249.99 for one unit. A wired Ring model may be preferable where reliable continuous power is more important than easy installation.

  • Secure Cloud Storage: Protect your recordings with AES-128 encrypted cloud storage
  • Pre-Capture Recording: Cloud subscribers benefit from pre-capture functionality, ensuring the camera starts recording right at the moment motion begins - never miss a thing

  • Exceptional Night Vision: Equipped with four powerful infrared LEDs and an advanced image sensor, providing sharp, detailed footage even in total darkness

For a battery installation, adding a compatible solar charger can reduce manual charging in a sunny location; Ring’s product page showed approximately $44.99. In a shaded location, it may not justify the cost or solve the maintenance problem. Buyers who want local storage, no recurring fee, or a different smart-home ecosystem should compare competing doorbells on those criteria rather than assuming Ring’s cloud model is the cheapest long-term choice.

Buying checklist

  1. Confirm the live listing says two doorbells and identify the exact model or SKU.
  2. Check whether the finish and seller match the advertised deal.
  3. Verify the final checkout total, including tax and shipping.
  4. Test or improve 2.4GHz Wi-Fi coverage at both entrances.
  5. Decide whether phone alerts are enough or whether you need an indoor Chime.
  6. Budget for charging, solar accessories, or professional installation.
  7. Price Ring Multi if you need recordings from both devices at one address.
  8. Check privacy zones, shared-user permissions, Alexa integrations, and account-security settings before installation.

Ring provides customizable privacy settings and privacy zones, but these should be configured deliberately—especially when a camera can see a walkway, neighbor’s property, or public road.

Bottom line

The original $109.98 two-pack was a genuine June 2025 promotion, but it is historical. A current price around $129.99 is still good for two battery-powered doorbells, particularly if you already use Ring or need front-and-back coverage. Around $109.98 would be excellent; near $169.99, the bundle is less compelling unless two cameras are essential. Add the cost of Ring Multi if you expect recorded video, and verify the live model, package contents, and checkout price before purchasing.
