The Redukt Pura is reported to measure 6.6 m (21.7 ft) long—not exactly 21 ft—and uses a loft double bed plus a sofa bed that can sleep two guests. New Atlas describes optional off-grid equipment including water storage, solar power, propane for cooking and a wood-burning stove for heat, but does not provide system capacities or installation details.
How the 21.7-foot layout fits two people and guests
New Atlas reports that the Pura is built on a double-axle trailer and has an open living area entered through double glass doors. Its sleeping spaces are split between a loft and the main room rather than arranged as separate bedrooms.
Loft bedroom
The single loft has room for a double bed and a skylight. Its ceiling is low, and access is by storage-integrated stairs in the configuration described. A ladder is available as an alternative layout.
Guest sleeping in the living area
An L-shaped sofa bed with integrated storage provides sleeping space for two guests. The dining table folds away when it is not in use, helping keep the compact living area flexible.

#1 Best Overall
The reported beds indicate space for two in the loft and two guests on the sofa bed; New Atlas does not give a certified maximum occupancy.
Kitchen, bathroom and utility space
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with a sink, electric cooktop, small refrigerator, cabinets and shelves. The report does not say that the electric cooktop is connected to the optional propane cooking setup.
Rank #2
Bathroom and technical room
The compact bathroom includes a shower, flushing toilet, and sink with storage. A separate technical room is accessed from outside and can also be used for storage.
What the reported off-grid options include
New Atlas says off-grid functionality is optional and lists four elements: a water tank, a solar power setup, propane for cooking, and a wood-burning stove for heat. These are described as available options, not as detailed specifications for a complete, self-sufficient installation.
Rank #3
- Water: A tank is mentioned, but its capacity and water-system details are not stated.
- Electricity: Solar power is an option, but the report gives no array size, battery capacity, or appliance-load information.
- Cooking: Propane cooking is listed separately from the kitchen’s electric cooktop; the source does not explain their relationship or specify the cooking appliances.
- Heat: A wood-burning stove is listed as an option. No model, output or installation details are provided.
For a real off-grid build, equipment needs to be chosen and sized for the occupants’ water use, electrical loads, cooking setup and heating needs. The report does not establish whether the listed options are bundled, how they are configured, or how long the house could operate without outside services.
Stairs or ladder: the tradeoff the report supports
Redukt’s reported alternative is a ladder instead of storage-integrated stairs. Stairs add storage-integrated access; a ladder is the other stated configuration. New Atlas provides no measurements or comparative assessment of comfort or safety, so the available information does not establish which option is better for a particular owner.
