What is the Philips Hue Signe Gradient Floor Lamp?
This is the floor-standing Signe Gradient model, not the smaller table lamp. Philips lists the white US version as product number 046677803506. Its design pairs a round base with a narrow illuminated aluminum rod; aimed at a wall, it creates a broad wash of blended color rather than lighting a room like a conventional shaded floor lamp.

iMore reviewer Stephen Warwick measured the lamp at 57.4 inches high with a footprint under 4.5 inches in his 2022 review. That tall, slim shape can fit beside furniture or in a tight corner, though the light works best when it has a nearby wall to illuminate.
How bright is it, and what light can it make?
Philips specifies RGBW light, with a color-temperature range of 2000–6500K. Its current US product listing gives maximum output as 2,550 lumens at 4000K and 1,800 lumens at 2700K. The lamp uses a 29W integrated LED, rated by Philips for a nominal 25,000-hour lifetime; the light source is not replaceable.

The output can serve more than one purpose: set a white tone for general accent lighting, or choose colors and scenes for a more decorative wall effect. In his November 2022 review, Warwick praised both the white and colored light and said he also used the lamp as a bright desk spotlight. Those are his reported impressions, not a new hands-on test.
What did the 2022 review find?
Warwick’s iMore review, last updated November 1, 2022, praised the easy setup, customization, scenes, light quality, and compact footprint. He found it particularly effective facing a wall, where its gradient output could spread across the surface. His concise verdict was: “The Philips Hue Signe Gradient Floor lamp is a tremendous bit of kit.”

His main reservations were the high price and the added Hue Bridge expense in the Apple Home and Siri setup he tested. Philips’ current product information describes Bluetooth operation without a Bridge and lists Apple Home among supported integrations. The 2022 setup experience should therefore be treated as specific to that reviewer’s configuration and the features he wanted, not as a universal requirement for every current setup.
Do you need a Hue Bridge to control the Signe Gradient Floor Lamp?
No Bridge is required for basic control: Philips says the Signe Gradient lamps can be controlled over Bluetooth using the Hue app. Wi-Fi is not required for that basic operation. A Bridge or Bridge Pro may matter if you want expanded Hue features; Philips identifies Entertainment features and MotionAware automations among features unlocked by Bridge Pro. Check the requirements for the particular feature and integration you plan to use before buying a hub.

Philips lists Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home, IFTTT, Matter, Samsung SmartThings, Sonos, and other integrations. The exact experience can depend on the hub, software, region, and control features you want. If voice control or smart-home automation is the deciding factor, confirm current compatibility for your specific platform and setup rather than assuming every listed integration offers identical functions.
What should you know before buying?
- Price: Philips’ US listing showed $379.99 for the white model when accessed October 4, 2026. Prices, promotions, availability, and finishes can change, so check the current listing and confirm the seller and product number.
- Power and service life: The LED is integrated and not replaceable. Philips gives it a nominal 25,000-hour lifetime and lists a two-year warranty; warranty terms can vary by region and seller.
- Support: Philips lists at least 60 months of support from purchase from an authorized reseller. Confirm local terms with Philips or the authorized seller.
- Construction and protection: Philips describes a white aluminum construction and lists IP20 protection, so this is an indoor lamp rather than a fixture for wet locations.
- Dimensions: Use the independent 57.4-inch height and sub-4.5-inch footprint reported by iMore, rather than the inconsistent overall-dimension fields displayed on Philips’ product page.
Who is the Signe Gradient Floor Lamp for?
It makes the most sense for someone who wants a tall, visually slim accent lamp, blended color effects, bright tunable white light, and access to Hue scenes or automation. Existing Hue users may find the ecosystem fit easier to justify than someone buying into Hue for one lamp alone.

Look elsewhere if your priorities are the lowest purchase price, a physical onboard switch, or a replaceable bulb. iMore noted Govee RGBIC floor lamps as a less expensive competing category in 2022, but those historical prices and brightness figures are not a current apples-to-apples comparison. Compare today’s specific models for price, height, footprint, white brightness, gradient behavior, platform support, hub requirements, physical controls, and repairability.

The Signe Gradient’s defining strengths are its combination of floor-lamp height, very small footprint, and sophisticated wall-washing color effects. It is a premium accent light rather than an economical all-purpose floor lamp. Buy it for its form, output, and Hue features—not on the assumption that every smart-home capability requires or avoids a Bridge.
