PerthNow’s 2025 top 10 named residential Christmas light displays across Perth, from Beeliar to Gwelup. The addresses and operating dates below reflect that season’s guide, published on 10 December 2025; every reported end date has passed. The list was PerthNow’s presentation of selections from Christmas Light Search, not a City of Perth ranking, and it does not confirm that any home will display again.
Perth’s 10 residential Christmas light displays in 2025
The entries are shown in the order published by PerthNow. Display features and dates are the publication’s reports for the 2025 season, not current schedules.

These dates are historical: the reported final nights ranged from 25 December 2025 to 2 January 2026. Check a current listing or contact organizers before planning a visit in another season; past inclusion does not establish that a display is operating again.
How the 2025 “top 10” was selected
PerthNow attributed the selections to Christmas Light Search, a database built by brothers Lachlan and Chris Kennedy since 2008. PerthNow reported that the database received up to 3,000 household submissions around Australia; that is a reported maximum, not a count of Perth entries.

Co-founder Lachlan Kennedy told PerthNow that submissions were personally reviewed and discreetly rated on a five-star scale. He cited distinctive themes or cultural touchpoints, photo opportunities, creative design, visual spectacle and scale as qualities that can help a display stand out. This is a curated selection, not a formal City of Perth award or a published formula readers can reproduce.
A separate option: the City of Perth Christmas Lights Trail
The residential list is separate from the City of Perth’s Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail. For 2025, the official guide scheduled the public trail from 28 November to 28 December, with 22 installations over 31 nights and lights scheduled from 6 pm to 1 am nightly. Its family-friendly Merry Mile was a 1.6 km route with 14 installations. These dates and arrangements describe 2025 only.

The trail’s official map placed installations around Yagan Square, Forrest Place, the malls, Perth Town Hall, Council House, Supreme Court Gardens, Barrack Square and Elizabeth Quay. Highlights included the 40-metre Christmas Tree Lane, the 14-metre City of Perth Christmas Tree at Forrest Place and the Bridge of Light at Elizabeth Quay Bridge. The 2025 flyer warned that some displays used flashing lights, music or other sensory effects.
The City’s official accessibility and sensory guide describes rest points, accessible toilets, ACROD parking information and facilities at City Railway Station and Elizabeth Quay, as well as app-based trail guidance. Consult the official guide for details and later-year updates rather than assuming the 2025 arrangements continue.

Planning a visit to residential displays
Because the homes are spread across metropolitan Perth, choose a small area rather than treating the ten addresses as one compact walking route. The addresses span suburbs from Beeliar and Atwell in the south to Alkimos and Woodvale in the north. The features column can help narrow choices if you are looking for a walk-through, interactive elements or reported music and FM listening.

- For any display that returns in a later season, verify its dates and visitor arrangements before travelling. The 2025 guide’s end dates are not future opening dates.
- Where a current listing confirms car listening, follow its instructions rather than assuming a previous year’s FM frequency or setup still applies.
- RAC WA’s 2025 guide offered additional metropolitan display ideas and suggested parking away from congested streets and walking to a display; it was supplementary coverage, not the source of PerthNow’s top-ten order.
