Pendry Tampa has reached a major construction milestone: vertical construction on the 38-story tower was reported complete the week before October 13, 2026. The milestone marks progress on the building’s structure, not completion of the full project or its opening. Pendry currently plans a 2027 debut, but no exact opening date has been announced.
What “wraps vertical construction” means for Pendry Tampa
Axios reported on October 13, 2026, that Pendry Tampa had wrapped vertical construction the previous week, with the milestone marked at a Friday ceremony. In practical terms, the tower’s vertical structural construction reached the reported milestone. Interior work, finishing, commissioning and other steps can still remain before a building and its hotel operations are ready to open.

The announcement is therefore a construction update, not confirmation that the hotel is complete, accepting guests or open to the public. The project remains under construction.
Where the tower is being built and what it includes
Pendry Tampa is a planned 38-story mixed-use hotel and condominium tower on the downtown Tampa Riverwalk, in the area of South Ashley Drive and West Whiting Street. Florida YIMBY described the design height as approximately 409 feet. In a September 26, 2026, construction snapshot, it reported exterior glazing and superstructure work progressing; that update predates the vertical-construction milestone reported in October.
