Yes. Oprah Winfrey sold her Montecito, California, home to Jennifer Aniston in a privately negotiated, off-market transaction in 2022. Mansion Global reported the price as $14.75 million, based on property records; other 2022 coverage rounded it to $14.8 million.
What kind of home did Aniston buy?
The property was described as a Tuscan- or Mediterranean-style farmhouse with four bedrooms and about 4,320 square feet, set on roughly an acre. Architectural Digest reported three-and-a-half bathrooms. Those descriptions refer to the home sold to Aniston, not every building that had been part of Winfrey’s larger property.
Why do reports give different prices and dates?
The $14.75 million figure comes from Mansion Global’s 2022 report, which attributed it to property records. Architectural Digest and Realtor.com reported the rounded figure of $14.8 million. The coverage also describes the timing differently: Mansion Global said the deal was completed at the end of August 2022, while Realtor.com says Aniston purchased the home in September. Those dates may refer to deal and purchase or recording timing; the reports do not establish a single exact transaction day.
How did the sale relate to Winfrey’s larger property?
Winfrey acquired the larger Montecito property in 2021. Mansion Global reported a purchase price of $10.48 million, while Architectural Digest rounded it to $10.5 million. The property included a main house and two cottages. Architectural Digest reported that the cottages were sold separately to Bob Greene for $2.3 million, so that amount was not part of Aniston’s purchase price.

What was reported about renovations?
In a March 27, 2025 report, Realtor.com said photographs showed a pool installation and exterior changes at Aniston’s home, with the work appearing close to completion at that time. That report does not establish the home’s present condition or whether the renovation has since been completed.
