In its announcement, New Day Construction described a Lake Forest Park bathroom and laundry room project with two estimates: $46,000 using semi-custom cabinetry and $54,000 using custom cabinetry. The homeowner selected custom cabinetry after visiting the showroom. The company says the project was completed by mid-May within the agreed $54,000 budget.

When reviewing proposals, compare the work and assumptions behind each total rather than looking at price alone. The company says its written estimates should make the scope and included work clear. Useful items to check include:
