Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Short answer: The Miele Triflex HX1 Pro is worth buying only when you find a complete, trustworthy unit at a meaningful discount. Its two removable batteries, adaptable three-in-one design, illuminated floorhead, and HEPA lifetime filter remain compelling. But the “up to 120 minutes” claim is a best-case two-battery figure, charging takes about four hours, and independent testing does not show class-leading suction.
Verdict: buy the HX1 Pro only at the right price
The Miele Triflex HX1 Pro remains a capable, unusually adaptable cordless vacuum, but it is no longer an automatic recommendation at premium-cordless pricing. Its strongest advantages are the three-in-one design, two removable batteries, charging cradle, illuminated floorhead, and HEPA lifetime filter. Its weaknesses are equally important: real powered-floor runtime is far below the headline 120 minutes, charging takes about four hours, the dustbin is modest, and independent tests do not establish class-leading suction.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
That makes the HX1 Pro a sensible purchase when you find new old stock, open-box stock, or a trustworthy refurbished unit at a meaningful discount. It is less compelling when its price approaches newer Miele cordless models such as the Triflex HX2 or Duoflex HX1. Before buying, confirm the exact contents, battery condition, seller status, return policy, and warranty eligibility.
If you are shopping for the reviewed machine, look for the exact Miele Triflex HX1 Pro cordless stick vacuum configuration rather than assuming that every listing labelled “HX1” is the same package.

What the U.S. HX1 Pro includes
The U.S. Triflex HX1 Pro is material number 11423920, product type SMML0, in Infinity Grey Pearl. Miele’s U.S. specification identifies it as a bagless cordless stick vacuum with Vortex Technology, a replaceable 25.2-volt lithium-ion battery system, three selectable suction levels, and a 0.5-liter dust container.
| Specification | Miele HX1 Pro detail |
|---|---|
| U.S. model/material number | 11423920 |
| Product type | SMML0 |
| Battery | Replaceable 25.2-volt lithium-ion system; Pro package includes two batteries |
| Maximum advertised runtime | Up to 120 minutes across two batteries in the least demanding PowerUnit-only, low-power configuration |
| Miele’s powered-accessory runtime figures | Up to 68 minutes on low power and 34 minutes on high power |
| Recharge time | Approximately 240 minutes |
| Dustbin capacity | 0.5 liters |
| Listed weight | Approximately 8 pounds |
| Listed noise level | 80 dB |
| Filtration | HEPA lifetime exhaust filter |
| Main floorhead | MultiFloor XXL SEB 435 electrobrush with BrilliantLight illumination |
| Controls | Three-level electronic suction slider; no trigger that must be held continuously |
The Pro package was positioned above the base HX1 because it added the second battery, a charging cradle, HEPA lifetime filtration, and the illuminated powered floorhead. The standard equipment also includes a wall mount, upholstery tool, crevice tool, dusting brush, and Quick Park functionality. Exact contents still need to be checked on used, open-box, and retailer-specific listings.
The three-in-one design is the HX1 Pro’s defining feature
The PowerUnit can be positioned above or below the wand, and the wand can be removed entirely for handheld use. Those configurations change the vacuum’s balance and reach:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- PowerUnit in the upper position: useful when reaching under furniture because the lower wand and floorhead can extend forward without placing the motor low on the machine.
- PowerUnit in the lower position: can make ordinary floor cleaning feel more balanced for some users because the weight sits closer to the floor.
- Handheld configuration: suitable for stairs, furniture, shelves, vehicles, and other short cleaning jobs when used with the supplied small tools.
This flexibility is more than a cosmetic feature. A single removable motor unit can serve as a conventional stick vacuum, a lower-balanced floor cleaner, or a handheld. The trade-off is that changing configurations adds steps, and a three-position design is not automatically easier than a simpler stick vacuum. The HX1 Pro should be described as adaptable and versatile, not universally effortless.
The MultiFloor XXL electrobrush is designed for different floor surfaces and includes BrilliantLight illumination that can reveal dust in darker areas. Miele says the head adapts automatically to changing flooring. Miele’s original U.S. materials positioned the HX1 family for smooth floors and low- to medium-pile carpet, so buyers with unusually thick carpet should not treat the all-floor label as proof of deep-carpet performance.
Battery life: the 120-minute claim needs careful translation
The most important qualification in this review is that 120 minutes is not 120 minutes of powered floor cleaning. It is the combined maximum for two batteries with the PowerUnit used by itself on the lowest suction setting. A floorhead, wand, and motorized cleaning head all change the result.
| Use or test | Reported runtime | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Miele’s maximum claim | Up to 120 minutes across two batteries | PowerUnit alone at low power; not powered floor cleaning |
| Miele’s low-power figure with electrical accessories | Up to 68 minutes | Closer to floor-cleaning use, but still a manufacturer rating |
| Miele’s high-power figure with electrical accessories | Up to 34 minutes | Official high-power estimate with accessories |
| Real Homes | About 25 minutes per battery | Mixed high-power routine using the electric floorhead and crevice nozzle |
| RTINGS, related HX1 platform | About 34 minutes minimum power; 18 minutes maximum power | Independent context, but not an identical HX1 Pro test protocol |
| CHIP, HX1 Pro test | About 15 minutes at high power | Independent result under that test’s conditions |
These figures should not be merged into one supposedly definitive number. The independent tests used different samples, attachments, surfaces, debris, and procedures. The practical conclusion is narrower and more useful: expect substantially less than 120 minutes for demanding floor cleaning, especially at maximum power.

- Wall-Mounted Charging Dock: Featuring a 6*2000 mAh rechargeable battery and a wall-mounted charging station, this cordless vacuum cleaner offers versatile charging options. You can detach the battery for separate charging or place the vacuum on the dock for automatic charging and convenient storage
- One-Touch Emptying Design: The rechargeable vacuum cleaner features a hygienic one-touch system for quick disposal of dirt and debris. With a 1.3L dust cup, it supports multiple cleaning sessions without frequent emptying, combining convenience and efficiency in every use
The second battery is nevertheless a genuine advantage. It allows a user to continue with a fresh battery while the depleted one charges, which is particularly useful in larger homes, on stairs, in vehicles, or during several short cleaning sessions. It does not remove the charging limitation: if both batteries are empty, Miele lists approximately 240 minutes for recharging. That is a long interruption compared with newer cordless designs or a corded vacuum.
For an existing owner whose battery has degraded, a model-specific Miele Triflex HX1 replacement battery may be more useful than a generic battery. Confirm the exact HX1 compatibility, connector, electrical specifications, authenticity, and seller before purchasing. Matching voltage or physical dimensions alone is not enough.
Cleaning performance: versatile, but not a proven suction leader
Miele’s claims and independent results tell different parts of the story. The company says the MultiFloor XXL electrobrush is intended for all floor types and automatically adapts to changing surfaces. Those are manufacturer claims, not a universal independent performance verdict.
RTINGS characterized the related HX1 platform’s suction power as poor in its testing, while still rating the design highly for portability and reporting useful battery behaviour. A German CHIP test of the HX1 Pro reported strong hard-floor pickup, 88% pickup from carpet in its high-power test, 44% pickup from a deep crevice, and approximately 15 minutes of high-power runtime under that test protocol.

The HX1 Pro can be an effective everyday cleaner, particularly on hard floors, and its portability and floorhead design add practical value. But the available evidence does not show that it leads the premium cordless category in raw suction or deep-cleaning ability. Buyers whose priority is maximum-power carpet cleaning should compare newer alternatives and independent tests rather than relying on the Miele name or the XXL designation alone.
The performance assessment here separates Miele’s specifications from third-party testing. No single cited test establishes universal results for every carpet type, hard floor, pet-hair situation, debris size, or home layout.
HEPA filtration and the 0.5-liter bin
The HX1 Pro’s HEPA lifetime exhaust filter is a meaningful advantage over the base HX1’s Hygiene lifetime filter. Miele’s U.S. launch material distinguishes the Pro and Cat & Dog versions by their HEPA lifetime filtration, and the U.S. specification confirms the HEPA designation for the Pro.

- READY TO GO WHENEVER YOU ARE: Get up to 50 minutes of power with the Crevice or Pet Tool in Eco mode, 30 minutes with the vacuum head, and 12 minutes in Turbo mode. Note: Runtimes are based on testing at room temperature
- TACKLE URGENT MESSES FAST: Powerful suction handles unexpected cleaning tasks with ease, so you stay stress-free. Note: This vacuum is designed for dry messes only and should not be used to clean up wet spills or liquids
- LIGHTWEIGHT & FLEXIBLE FOR EVERYDAY USE: Easy top-to-bottom cleaning, lies 180° flat to reach under furniture, and includes 3 LED lights to spot dust as you go
- EFFORTLESS CLEANING FOR TRICKY SPOTS: The custom 2-in-1 pet tool simplifies cleaning up hair, and the dusting brush doubles as a crevice tool for hard-to-reach areas
- FINISH DAILY CLEANING TASKS FAST AND STRESS-FREE: No more wasting time untangling hair from the brush. Our anti-tangle brush is designed to help you clean quickly with less hassle
That specification is useful for buyers who specifically want the Pro’s filtration package, but it should not be inflated into an independently measured claim about total dust retention or allergen removal. The evidence establishes the filter specification; it does not establish performance in every real-world condition.
The 0.5-liter bagless bin is adequate for quick daily cleaning but relatively small for whole-home sessions, heavy shedding, or large quantities of debris. Expect to empty it more often in a pet-heavy home. Miele’s Twist2open mechanism is intended to make emptying quicker and more hygienic, although that design intention is not the same as a laboratory measurement of how much dust escapes during disposal.
Handling, controls, and everyday use
The HX1 Pro uses a three-level electronic suction slider rather than a trigger-style control that requires constant pressure. That is a practical advantage for longer cleaning sessions because the user can select a power level and maintain a normal grip.
The three configurations also make the vacuum useful beyond floors. The removable wand and handheld PowerUnit can cover stairs, upholstery, shelves, vehicle interiors, and quick spot cleaning. The wall mount offers a storage and charging location, while the charging cradle is particularly important to the Pro package because it gives the second battery a dedicated place in the ownership setup.
There are still compromises. The vacuum weighs approximately 8 pounds as listed, the bin is not large, the two batteries do not make high-power runtime unlimited, and every change from floor mode to handheld mode involves handling the PowerUnit, wand, and tools. Buyers who prefer a straightforward, permanently assembled stick vacuum may value simplicity more than the HX1 Pro’s flexibility.

Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Availability: an older U.S. model, not Miele’s current cordless flagship
The Triflex HX1 launched in the United States in 2020. Current Miele U.S. catalog results prominently surface newer cordless products, including the Duoflex HX1 and Triflex HX2, rather than the original HX1 Pro. Retail availability points in the same direction: Best Buy marks the base HX1 unavailable new, Yale Appliance labels the HX1 Pro discontinued, and Home Depot indicates availability only through select Design Center locations.
That evidence supports describing the HX1 Pro as an older or limited-availability U.S. model. It does not prove that every HX1 Pro has disappeared from every market, nor does it establish the condition or authenticity of any particular marketplace listing. Remaining stock, open-box units, refurbished products, and imported versions may differ in accessories, battery condition, regional support, and warranty coverage.

Because the model is aging, compare its asking price with current Triflex HX2 and Duoflex models—not with the HX1 Pro’s original 2020 launch position. A discount is doing important work in the recommendation.
Warranty and support checks matter more with used stock
Miele’s U.S. vacuum warranty document lists two years for the Triflex HX1/HX2 cordless series, subject to conditions including the original purchaser, U.S. residence, purchase from an authorized dealer, and the applicable warranty terms. Do not assume that an imported, gray-market, used, or unauthorized-channel HX1 Pro receives the same coverage.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Before paying for a discounted unit, ask the seller:
- Is it new, open-box, refurbished, or used?
- Can the seller provide the original purchase information?
- Is the seller a Miele Authorized Dealer?
- What is the return period if the battery will not hold a useful charge?
- Are both original batteries and the charging cradle included?
For owners dealing with charging, battery, floorhead, or warranty questions, Miele authorized service is the safer support route than assuming a third-party part or repair is equivalent. Confirm that the service provider and replacement component support the HX1 Pro specifically.
What to check before buying a used or open-box HX1 Pro
- Verify the model. Look for U.S. material number 11423920, or ask the seller to identify the exact regional configuration. A listing that only says “Miele HX1” may describe the base model rather than the Pro.
- Confirm the complete Pro package. Check for two removable batteries, the charging cradle, wall mount, SEB 435 MultiFloor XXL electrobrush, BrilliantLight floorhead, upholstery tool, crevice tool, dusting brush, and any required charger.
- Establish battery condition. With non-new stock, ask how long each battery runs and whether both charge normally. A discounted vacuum can lose its value quickly if one or both batteries need replacement.
- Inspect the powered floorhead. Check the roller, bristles, illumination, electrical contacts, and signs of hair or debris damage. The SEB number matters; do not assume another Miele floorhead fits.
- Inspect seals and conversion points. Examine the dustbin seal, PowerUnit connections, wand joints, tool attachments, and charger contacts for cracks, looseness, or missing pieces.
- Check return rights in writing. This is especially important when the listing is from a marketplace, liquidation seller, or seller that cannot establish authorized-dealer status.
- Compare against newer models. If the HX1 Pro costs close to a current Triflex HX2 or Duoflex HX1, the older model’s dual-battery package and HEPA filter may no longer compensate for its age and long recharge time.
If you need a replacement floorhead, search by the official part number rather than by appearance. The included head is the Miele SEB 435 electrobrush; confirm the exact SEB number, connector, and HX1 Pro compatibility before ordering.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who should buy the Miele Triflex HX1 Pro?
- Buy it if you want a flexible Miele cordless vacuum that can move between floor cleaning, stairs, furniture, shelves, and vehicles.
- Buy it if two removable batteries matter more than a short recharge cycle. The second battery is the Pro package’s most practical upgrade.
- Buy it if HEPA lifetime filtration and an illuminated floorhead are priorities and you have confirmed the exact package.
- Buy it as a discounted everyday or secondary vacuum when you already have a stronger corded machine for extended deep cleaning.
- Buy only through a trustworthy channel when warranty support and parts availability are important.
Who should skip it?
- Skip it for large-home, maximum-power deep cleaning where roughly 15–18 minutes per battery may be insufficient and both batteries could be depleted before the four-hour recharge is complete.
- Skip it if you need a large dustbin. The 0.5-liter capacity is modest for heavy debris or homes with substantial shedding.
- Skip an uncertain listing. Missing accessories, tired batteries, questionable authenticity, and unclear returns can erase the benefit of a discount.
- Skip it if the price approaches newer premium cordless vacuums. The HX1 Pro is an older 2020-era design with limited U.S. availability signals.
- Skip it if your priority is proven class-leading suction. Independent results are mixed and do not support that claim.
Pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Three-in-one floor, stick, and handheld configurations | 120-minute claim is not powered-floor runtime |
| Two removable batteries in the Pro package | Approximately four-hour recharge time |
| Charging cradle included | High-power runtime can fall to roughly 15–18 minutes per battery in independent tests |
| Illuminated MultiFloor XXL electrobrush | 0.5-liter dustbin is small for heavy debris or pet-heavy homes |
| HEPA lifetime exhaust filter | Independent tests do not establish class-leading suction |
| Selectable slider control rather than a hold-to-run trigger | U.S. stock appears limited or discontinued depending on retailer and channel |
Final assessment
The Miele Triflex HX1 Pro’s design still makes sense: repositionable balance, a genuine handheld mode, two removable batteries, useful accessories, and HEPA lifetime filtration are meaningful features. It is a versatile everyday cordless vacuum rather than a bare-bones stick cleaner.
Its value depends almost entirely on the deal. The realistic battery story is measured in ordinary powered-cleaning sessions, not 120 uninterrupted minutes. Its recharge time is long, the bin is modest, and available independent evidence describes competent performance rather than a clear suction victory. Treat the HX1 Pro as an aging premium model worth considering at a substantial discount—not as the default choice simply because it carries the Miele name.

Evidence note
This review uses Miele’s U.S. specification sheet, original U.S. launch materials, warranty information, and support guidance alongside independent reports from Real Homes, RTINGS, and CHIP. Manufacturer ratings and independent test results use different methods and should not be treated as directly interchangeable. User-forum durability reports are anecdotal and are not used here as population-level evidence.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Miele Triflex HX1 Pro really run for 120 minutes?
No. Miele’s “up to 120 minutes” figure combines two batteries with the PowerUnit used by itself at low power. Miele lists up to 68 minutes at low power and 34 minutes at high power with electrical accessories. Independent reports found about 15–18 minutes per battery in high-power testing, while Real Homes reported approximately 25 minutes per battery in a mixed high-power routine.
Is the Miele Triflex HX1 Pro discontinued?
The HX1 Pro launched in the United States in 2020. Current Miele U.S. catalog results emphasize newer cordless models, while retailers report unavailable, discontinued, or restricted stock. It may still appear as new old stock, open-box, or refurbished inventory, but availability and condition must be verified listing by listing.
Does the HX1 Pro have a HEPA filter?
Yes. The U.S. HX1 Pro specification lists a HEPA lifetime exhaust filter. This differentiates it from the base HX1’s Hygiene lifetime filter, although the specification alone is not an independent measurement of total dust or allergen retention.
Is the Miele Triflex HX1 Pro good on carpet?
It is a competent and versatile floor cleaner, with independent testing indicating useful hard-floor performance. However, test results are mixed: RTINGS described suction on the related HX1 platform as poor, while CHIP reported 88% carpet pickup under its own high-power test. The evidence does not establish class-leading deep-carpet suction.
What should I check before buying a used HX1 Pro?
Check the exact U.S. material number, 11423920, and confirm both batteries, the charging cradle, SEB 435 MultiFloor XXL electrobrush, wall mount, charger, and standard tools. For used or open-box units, also verify battery condition, return rights, seller authorization, and warranty eligibility.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The Miele Triflex HX1 Pro is worth considering for its two-battery, three-in-one design and HEPA filtration, but only when the exact Pro package is complete and the price is clearly below newer premium cordless alternatives. At near-current-flagship pricing, its long recharge time, small bin, mixed suction evidence, and limited U.S. availability make it an easy pass.
