The property was later reported listed for $2.75 million in March 2025, but the available reporting does not establish whether it has since sold or remains on the market.
Where is Marilyn Manson’s home, and what did he pay?
The home is in Glendale, California. Realtor.com reported that Manson purchased it in May 2022 for $2.2 million. Luxurylaunches and other coverage also reported the $2.2 million price and described competing buyer interest. The reports said the sale price was above the original asking price, which was below $2 million. Luxurylaunches and Realtor.com covered the transaction.
What is unusual about the property?
Reports describe a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home with a separate sound-treated structure associated with recording. The wording differs between outlets, so the structure’s legal classification should not be assumed from the descriptions alone.
The 2022 description: a converted detached garage
Luxurylaunches described a detached two-car garage that songwriter Jeremy Ruzumna reportedly converted into a professional recording studio with soundproof walls. That outlet also characterized the home as a multi-level, tree-surrounded property built in the 1960s. These are details from its account, not independently verified construction or permit records. The 2025 description: a soundproofed ADU
In March 2025, Realtor.com described the listing as including a soundproofed ADU that could be used as a recording studio, gym, or additional bedroom. That is the listing’s reported description; it does not, by itself, confirm the structure’s permitted status or that it is the same configuration described as a garage in 2022. Realtor.com
Was the home later listed or sold?
Realtor.com reported that the property was listed for $2.75 million in March 2025. That figure was an asking price at that time, not a reported sale price. The available reporting does not establish whether the home later sold, changed hands, or remained listed, so its present status cannot be confirmed from these reports.

The purchase, price, property features, and listing are presented here as media-reported information. No title, assessor, multiple-listing-service, or permit records are cited in those accounts. In particular, the sources use different labels for the detached structure—converted garage and ADU—so those terms should remain attributed to their respective reports rather than treated as interchangeable legal classifications.
