Confirm the battery platform
Check the platform and capacity in the exact listing, not just the brand name. The roundup identified its 4.0Ah pack as an 18V LXT battery for Makita 18V LXT tools, while the selection also covered CXT and XGT products. Do not assume batteries or chargers from different platforms are interchangeable.

Match the tool to the work
Compare products intended for the same task. The HR2811F rotary hammer is presented for concrete and masonry drilling; an impact driver is a different tool for fastening work. A discount on a specialty tool is useful only if its function suits the job and the rest of your setup.
