The manufacturer’s published specs show a 20 × 20 × 10 cm work area and a 150 W spindle; a fourth axis is supported but sold separately. The available product information does not establish a historical price reduction, and prices differ between Makera’s regional storefronts.
What the Makera Z1 offers
The Z1 is a desktop CNC mill intended for buyers comparing Makera’s entry-level model with the larger Carvera and Carvera Air. Makera labels it “Entry Level, Best Value”; that is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independent assessment. Its comparison page lists the following specifications:
- Spindle power: 150 W
- Spindle speed: 13,000 rpm
- Maximum power: 300 W
- Work area: 20 × 20 × 10 cm
- Fourth axis: Supported; the module is sold separately
These are manufacturer-listed figures, not independent measurements. They describe the published specifications, but do not by themselves establish cutting quality, accuracy, suitable materials, noise, or reliability. See Makera’s CNC machine comparison.
Makera Z1 price: storefronts show different offers
At the time the pages were checked, Makera’s US product page listed the Z1 at $1,399 and marked it “In stock in US.” Makera’s global store showed a separate $1,099 sale price against a $1,199 regular price, with pre-order and factory-batch shipping language. These are distinct storefront offers, not a single worldwide price or evidence of a verified historical price reduction. Check the relevant regional page for the current price and stock status before ordering.

Z1 vs. Carvera and Carvera Air
Makera’s comparison makes the main trade-off visible: the Z1 has a smaller published work area and lower spindle power than the two higher-tier models. The figures below are the manufacturer’s specifications, not independent test results.

For a buyer, the useful comparison is whether the Z1’s work area fits the parts they plan to make, whether its listed spindle power meets their requirements, and whether they value the larger published capacity of the other models. The figures alone do not show how any machine performs on a particular material or job. All three models appear on Makera’s comparison page.
Accessories and the cost of a complete setup
Makera’s Z1 listing presents optional items including a fourth-axis module, laser module, wired probe, low-profile vise, vacuum bed, and dust collector. A fourth axis is supported, but Makera says its module is sold separately. The listing does not establish that every accessory is included with the base machine, nor that all are available in every region or package.

Before comparing total setup costs, check the selected package and regional store for what is included, accessory prices, and stock. - Compare the Carvera Air or Carvera if you need their larger published work areas or higher listed spindle power.
- Budget for an optional module if a fourth axis is part of your planned setup; it is supported but sold separately.
Makera’s published information supports a comparison of listed specs, storefront prices, and accessories. It does not establish independent cutting performance or quantified savings versus another machine.
