Short answer: Lidl’s Silvercrest Dual Basket Air Fryer offered much of the headline appeal of a Ninja dual-zone model for £69.99, but it was not proven to match Ninja performance or long-term support. Launched in Lidl GB stores in November 2025, it has two 4.35-litre drawers, 11 programmes and Sync Cook and Sync Finish functions. However, current stock is not verified, and “Ninja Max” is an imprecise comparison: the relevant rival is the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone, not the single-basket Ninja Air Fryer MAX AF160.
Which Lidl air fryer is this?
The product was the Silvercrest Dual Basket Air Fryer, sold through Lidl GB’s middle aisle. Coverage reported a launch date of 14 November 2025 and a price of £69.99. It was reported in beige and black, with:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- 8.7 litres of total stated capacity
- Two separate 4.35-litre drawers
- 11 cooking programmes
- Sync Cook for matching settings across both drawers
- Sync Finish for making different programmes finish together
Those details come from the original product coverage, rather than an independent performance test. Lidl’s current air-fryer category and Silvercrest range provide general range information, but do not verify that this exact model remains available in stores now.
Why is it called a Ninja “dupe”?
“Dupe” is being used editorially to describe a similar product format and feature set—not to establish that Lidl copied Ninja’s engineering, internal components or cooking results.
#1 Best Overall
- 9.5 QT Large Capacity with 2 Separate Baskets: Each 4.5L basket fits 1lb of fries, a whole chicken, or a 6-inch pizza. Cook main dishes and sides simultaneously—no more batch cooking. Doubles your output for family meals, parties, or meal prep
- 10-in-1 Presets: One-touch programs for Bake, Dehydrate, Defrost, Steak, Chicken, Shrimp, and more. Achieve crispy wings, juicy roasted meats, and healthy veggies with consistent results—no guesswork required. Perfect for daily home cooking
- Smart Dual-Zone with Sync Functions: Match Cook copies time/temp settings across both baskets for large-batch cooking. Sync Finish lets two different foods with separate settings finish together—hot and ready. No waiting or cold dishes
- Auto Shake Reminder: Built-in sensor alerts you with a beep and flashing light when it's time to shake. Promotes even heating and uniform browning for perfectly crispy textures every time. Less hands-on attention, more consistent results
- Healthier Design & Non-Stick Coating: Stainless steel body ensures durable, even heat distribution. Ceramic-coated crisper plates require little to no oil—enjoy lower-fat meals than deep frying. Non-stick surface makes cleanup quick and easy
The resemblance is straightforward:
- Both use two independent cooking zones.
- You can cook different foods at the same time.
- The drawers can be used independently.
- Synchronised cooking functions are designed to finish food together.
- Both target households that want a main dish and side dish prepared simultaneously.
The comparison coverage most plausibly refers to the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer. That is materially different from the Ninja Air Fryer MAX AF160, which the official Ninja page describes as a single-basket, 5.2-litre model with six functions: Air Fry, Max Crisp, Bake, Roast, Dehydrate and Reheat. See the official AF160 product page.
Ninja uses “MAX” in several product names, and US model names such as the Max XL AF161 should not be mixed with UK model numbers, capacities, warranties or voltage requirements. TechRadar’s AF160 coverage and RTINGS’ AF161 information illustrate the distinction.
Is £69.99 really a third of the Ninja’s price?
Broadly, yes—but only against the cited regular price. The comparison coverage put the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone at £229.99. Lidl’s £69.99 launch price was about 30% of that figure, making it roughly a third of the price and around 70% cheaper.

| Silvercrest Dual Basket Air Fryer | £69.99 | 8.7 litres; two 4.35-litre drawers | Lidl GB in-store launch, November 2025 |

| Lidl as a share of £229.99 | About 30% | — | Roughly one-third |
The saving was less dramatic during Ninja promotions. The original coverage reported a promotional price of £159.99 before Black Friday 2025. At that price, £69.99 was closer to 44% of the Ninja price—not one-third.
So the accurate claim is: Lidl launched at about a third of the Ninja’s cited typical price. It should not be presented as a guaranteed current saving, particularly because Lidl’s product was a limited middle-aisle release and Ninja prices fluctuate.

What the Lidl machine appears to do well
Two zones at a low entry price
For a household cooking chips in one drawer and chicken, vegetables or fish in the other, two compartments are more useful than a single basket. They can also help when people need different foods, temperatures or dietary choices.
Rank #2
- EXTRA-LARGE CAPACITY: 9-quart total cooking capacity makes it easy to cook for the whole family.
- PERFECT-TIMING SYNC FINISH: Want two foods to finish cooking at the same time? Just select Sync Finish and the air fryer will do the math so the two baskets finish together.
- HEALTHY EATING MADE EASY: Because air frying requires little to no oil, foods crisp up beautifully without all the fat. Great for reheating leftovers, too.
- AUTO REMINDERS: For the best results, most foods benefit from a shake about halfway through cooking. That’s why this air fryer features a visual and audio SHAKE reminder.
- CARE-FREE CLEANUP: A nonstick interior and bonus basket liners prevent foods from sticking, which makes cleanup a breeze. Plus, the baskets and racks are top-rack dishwasher-safe.
Useful synchronisation
Sync Cook should be useful when both drawers need the same settings. Sync Finish is potentially more practical when foods require different programmes but need to reach the table together. These are meaningful functions, rather than merely cosmetic similarities.

A large stated capacity
At 8.7 litres, the Lidl model sounds generous. But total litres do not tell you how much food can be spread in a single layer, which is often more important for browning and crispness. Two 4.35-litre drawers may be convenient for separate foods while being less suitable for one wide item or a large joint.
Preset programmes for beginners
Eleven programmes may make the appliance approachable, with reported options for foods such as chips, fish, chicken, vegetables and cake. Presets are starting points, not guarantees: quantity, food thickness and whether food is shaken or turned still affect the result.
What the £69.99 price does not prove
No independent comparison in the available coverage establishes that the Silvercrest:
- cooks as quickly as the Ninja;
- produces equally crisp food;
- holds temperature as accurately;
- uses less energy;
- is quieter;
- has equivalent durability; or
- offers the same coating, cleaning experience or long-term reliability.
The following Lidl specifications are also not verified for this exact model: heating power, maximum temperature, dimensions, weight, noise level, dishwasher compatibility, basket or crisper-plate coating, guarantee terms and replacement-part availability. Do not transfer specifications from another Silvercrest appliance or from the Ninja AF160. For example, the official AF160 page’s PTFE-coating information applies to that Ninja model, not automatically to Lidl’s product.
The ownership trade-off: price versus support
The attraction of Lidl’s price is obvious, but the purchase decision is about more than the appliance itself. Before buying, consider what you would do if a drawer coating deteriorated, a crisper plate was damaged or the machine developed an electrical fault after the initial purchase period.
Rank #3
- DUAL AIR FRYER WITH 2 BASKETS: Cook food faster and more conveniently with two powerful air fryers in one with a combined 6-quart large air fryer capacity
- VERSATILE COOKING OPTIONS: Dual zone air fryer technology gives you the flexibility to cook different dishes simultaneously, or to easily switch from one basket to the other
- FOOD FINISHES TOGETHER: Convenient Sync Finish allows individual 3-quart large capacity air fryer double baskets to finish cooking at the same time
- WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE: Digital air fryer dual basket temperature settings from 200-450°F allow you to cook at low and high heat for food just the way you want it
- HEALTHY FOOD PREP: Enjoy all your favorite fried foods without sacrificing flavor or quality; this dual basket air fryer convection oven requires little to no oil for healthier frying results
That does not prove Lidl support is worse. It means the available evidence does not establish whether replacement baskets and plates are easy to obtain, how long model-specific parts remain available or how the product compares with Ninja’s documentation and established accessory ecosystem.
Storage is another practical issue. Two drawers can provide useful separation, but the overall appliance may occupy more worktop space than a single-basket model. Check the actual box specifications before buying if your kitchen has limited clearance; the Lidl dimensions were not verified in the available sources.
How to avoid buying the wrong Lidl model
Lidl has sold several different air fryers, and visually similar products are not interchangeable. Do not confuse the Silvercrest Dual Basket Air Fryer with the Silvercrest Double Stack Air Fryer, Silvercrest Glass Air Fryer or other dual-basket products sold through Lidl.
The Silvercrest Glass Air Fryer reported in 2026 was a separate product, priced at £59.99 and compared with the Ninja Crispi—not the model discussed here. Confirm the exact product name, drawer configuration and capacity on the packaging.
Also check Lidl’s current offers and store information before travelling. Middle-aisle products may be limited to particular weeks, selected stores or remaining stock. Avoid old social-media posts and be cautious with marketplace listings: resale prices can remove the original bargain, while warranty and seller legitimacy may be unclear.

Lidl published a 2025 recall for the Tower 8L Dual Basket Air Fryer, model T17129L, citing an overheating and fire hazard. This is a separate Tower product and is not evidence that the Silvercrest model is affected. It does show why buyers should check the exact brand and model number rather than assuming every Lidl dual-basket fryer is the same. See Lidl’s recall notice.

- DUAL BASKET AIR FRYER: Cuisinart Air Fryer features two 5.5-quart baskets (11-quart total capacity) allowing you to cook two separate foods simultaneously, each with its own cooking time and temperature, for a complete meal.
- 6 FUNCTIONS: This basket air fryer offers air fry, roast, bake, broil, dehydrate, and keep warm functions for everyday cooking, and boasts beloved Cuisinart features like toss reminder, auto-pause, and auto-warm.

- 5 PRESETS: The non-stick ceramic coated airfryer includes a digital display with five air fry presets for quick selection of popular meals and snacks: wings, fries, frozen snacks, vegetables and nuggets.
- EASY CARE: Designed with easy care in mind, the ceramic nonstick, easy-clean crisper plate and air fry basket are dishwasher safe to save you time during clean up.
Who should buy the Lidl?
- Buy the Lidl if you can find the exact Silvercrest model at or near £69.99, want two cooking zones and mainly prepare everyday foods such as chips, nuggets, vegetables, fish and chicken.
- Choose Ninja if you want a more established model, predictable online availability, clearer documentation, broader accessory support or greater confidence in after-sales arrangements.
- Wait or compare further if the Lidl is being resold at an inflated price, the model details are unclear or a Ninja dual-zone promotion has substantially narrowed the gap.
Alternatives worth distinguishing
Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone
This is the closest format comparison for readers who specifically want two drawers, independent cooking and synchronised finishing. It costs more, but may offer a more established support and accessory ecosystem. Confirm the exact UK model and current price before purchase; £229.99 was the cited regular price, not a guaranteed 2026 price.

Ninja Air Fryer MAX AF160
The AF160 is better suited to someone who wants a single 5.2-litre basket and six established cooking functions. It is not a direct replacement for Lidl’s two-zone design, so do not choose it solely because both products use “MAX” in their names.
Ninja Max XL AF161
The AF161 is principally relevant to US readers. Its US naming, capacity, voltage, warranty and availability should not be used to specify a UK purchase.
Verdict
Lidl’s Silvercrest Dual Basket Air Fryer was a compelling price-led alternative when it launched at £69.99. Its two drawers, 8.7-litre stated capacity and synchronised cooking functions explain why it was compared with the Ninja Foodi MAX Dual Zone, and the launch price was roughly a third of the cited £229.99 Ninja price.
But it is best described as a feature-similar budget alternative, not a proven one-for-one Ninja equivalent. There is no verified evidence here for matching crispness, temperature accuracy, noise, energy use, durability, coating or replacement-part support. If you find the exact Lidl model at its original price and accept those unknowns, it may be excellent value. If support, documentation and predictable availability matter more than the lowest upfront cost, the Ninja is the safer choice—especially when discounted.
