LEVOLOR uses different remotes, power sources, reset procedures, and travel settings across product lines; there is no single reset or charger that applies to every motorized shade. Check the matching product guide before changing settings.
Identify the shade, remote, and power source first
Before troubleshooting, determine whether you have a battery-wand shade, a rechargeable-wand shade, a smart shutter, a roller or screen shade with touch control, or a standard-valance motorized-wand shade. Note the remote or app you use and how the motor is powered. The controls and procedures are product-specific: use the guide supplied with the shade or the matching LEVOLOR product instructions rather than applying another model’s button sequence.

This matters especially for resetting, pairing, charging, and setting travel limits. A reset intended for one system may not work on another, and using an incompatible charger can damage some rechargeable wands.

Check the group selection and assignment
On systems controlled by a grouped remote, select the group assigned to the shade. Some natural and cellular shades must first be joined to a group; LEVOLOR’s natural-shade guide states, “A shade will not operate until it is joined to a group.” Smart shutters also require selecting the group assigned to the relevant section. For those shutters, the PREMIER App can help identify group information.

- Strict Compatibility Warning --This remote transmitter ONLY works with 433MHz learning-type tubular roller blind motors. It is NOT compatible with Zigbee, WiFi, Bluetooth, or any proprietary non-433MHz motor systems. Please double-check your motor’s frequency before purchasing to avoid mismatched returns.
- Simple pairing setup is required before first use--Every channel needs to be paired with your corresponding blind motor separately.Step-by-step detailed pairing instructions are included in the package. The remote cannot control your blinds without completing correct pairing procedures.
- 14-Channel Individual & Group Control--Supports independent control of up to 14 separate roller shades, plus a convenient "ALL" group channel. - Ideal Replacement for Lost & Broken RF Remotes--Specially designed as a spare replacement for damaged, lost, or worn-out original 433MHz RF shade remotes.
- Clear Non-Universal Notice to Avoid Mispurchase--This is NOT a universal remote for all window blinds. If your original remote uses different frequency or non-learning protocol, this unit will fail to operate your shades. Confirm your motor model in advance
Check the remote batteries
Replace weak batteries and confirm they are installed in the correct orientation. The smart-shutter guide specifies two CR2032 batteries for its remote; other remotes may differ, so check the label or the matching guide rather than assuming the same battery type.
If the remote still does nothing after checking its group and batteries, confirm that the shade has power before attempting a reset.

Inspect the installed power source and visible connections
Depending on the system, check that the battery wand or pack is seated and connected, the power cable is firmly attached, and cables are not pinched in the headrail or rail. For systems whose instructions call for it, disconnect and reconnect the motor power cable, then look for the indicator light described in that product’s guide. LED behavior is not the same across products.
Recommended Free Tools
Use only the battery type and power supply specified for the shade. LEVOLOR’s roller/screen touch-control guide recommends AA alkaline batteries for the battery-powered system it covers. That recommendation does not establish that every LEVOLOR shade uses AA cells; check the wand label or product manual.

- This will work with shades sold between July 2015 and July 2022. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH GEN 3 SYSTEMS.
- Remote Control Only - Controls up to six shades or six groups of window treatments with one remote.
- You must pair the remote to your shades. The remote will not automatically work with your shades out of the box.
Use the correct charging option for a rechargeable wand
The roller/screen touch-control guide says its rechargeable battery wand can be charged only with LEVOLOR-provided charging options. Do not substitute a charger from another product. If a charged rechargeable wand still does not operate the shade, consider its installation location: that guide says the wand’s safety feature temporarily shuts it off above 176 °F (80 °C). The threshold applies to the specified wand, not to all LEVOLOR motors. The guide advises relocating it away from direct sunlight if it consistently exceeds the temperature limit.
Levolor shade stops halfway or stops at an unexpected point
Rule out a saved position or operating mode
For standard-valance motorized-wand shades, an unexpected stop can be related to a saved favorite position, the shade’s operating mode, or travel limits that have not been set. The motorized-wand guide also describes Banded mode as a reason a shade may move in small steps. Follow that guide’s instructions for checking the mode and setting limits; do not use a reset sequence from a different shade family.

- [CRITICAL COMPATIBILITY WARNING) This is a REPLACEMIENT REMOTE, not a universal programmer. It is ONLY compatible with systems deesigned to use the exact AC123-06 remote model or its identical clones. It is NOT compatiblewith Levolor, Hunter Douglas, Somfy, Bali, Lutron, or other major brand-specific systems. Please verify your existing remote's model number before purchasing.
- [DIRECT REPLACEMENT] This remote is designed to be a direct,plug-and-play replacement for existing AC123-06 remotes. If your old remote looks identiccal to this one (same shape, same button layout, same model number), this should be a seamless swapafter pairing
- [SIX-CHANNEL FLEXIBILITY] Control up to 6 individual motors or groups of motors Program Channel 1 and 2 to control two separate shades individually, or pair them to control a group of shades simultaneously with a single button press. Perfect for multiple windows in one room
- [WIDE DEVICE COMPATIBILITY] Works with a variety of generic electric motors commonly found in motorized blinds, roller shades, projectioin screens, motorized curtains, and small awnings. Always confirm your motor's frequency ffirst.
- [EASY PAIRING PROCESS] Syncs quickly and easily with your compatible motor. The standard process involves putting your motor into learning mode and pressing the corresponding button on the remote. Detailed instructions are included in the manual.
Observe the ordered shade length when adjusting limits. LEVOLOR warns not to lower the shade beyond its ordered length because the fabric could be damaged.
Check for restricted travel
Look for visible obstructions and pinched cables along the shade’s path and rail. If the shade stops at the same point each time, the issue may involve its programmed travel setting or installation rather than the remote. Use the model-specific limit procedure rather than forcing the shade past the stop.

LEVOLOR blinds uneven: check travel and installation
Natural and cellular shade instructions recommend lowering the shade fully to allow it to self-correct. If it remains uneven, check whether the headrail and installation brackets are level and aligned. A tilted or misaligned installation can affect movement.
Do not assume that shimming or adjusting a rail is appropriate for every model. Installation corrections are product- and site-specific; consult the matching instructions or an installer if the mounting components need to be moved.
How to reset LEVOLOR motorized blinds safely
There is no universal reset sequence for LEVOLOR motorized shades. The appropriate reset, calibration, or limit-setting procedure depends on the exact product and controller. First check remote grouping, batteries, power, and visible cable connections; then follow the manual for your shade if it calls for a reset. Avoid trying a generic button combination found for a different LEVOLOR model, since it may change pairing or travel settings instead of fixing the fault.

When to contact LEVOLOR or arrange repair
Escalate if the shade remains unresponsive after the model-appropriate checks, if the motor or a fuse may have failed, or if the next step requires removing the shade or adjusting internal parts. The smart-shutter guide specifically warns that testing battery-wand voltage with a meter can blow its fuse; do not use a meter for that check. Its instructions recommend contacting support if motor replacement may be needed.
For standard-valance motorized-wand shades, LEVOLOR’s guide describes ordering parts and having shades repaired or restrung through its repair center. Check current contact details and service availability directly with LEVOLOR support, as support hours and repair options can change.
