Laughlin joined the Oak Brook, Illinois, contractor in August 2026 and is serving alongside Dupuis as co-CFO during the handover. The company has not announced a specific retirement date.
What is changing, and when?
The succession is planned, not yet complete. Dupuis joined Krusinski in May 1995 and has spent more than three decades with the company. Laughlin joined in August 2026, creating an overlap period before Dupuis’s expected retirement in the first quarter of 2027.

Who is Colin Laughlin?
Laughlin most recently served as director of finance for a large Chicago-based general contractor, advising ownership and executive leadership and overseeing complex construction operations. REjournals describes him as bringing nearly two decades of construction-industry finance and leadership experience. He holds a finance degree from the University of Notre Dame.

How is the handover intended to work?
During the overlap, Laughlin is to work with Dupuis and Krusinski’s accounting team to learn the company’s operations, culture, and established relationships. He is also expected to build relationships with the company’s consultants, bankers, bonding agents, insurance brokers, and accountants.

What has not been announced?
The available announcement account gives no exact retirement date or full terms of Laughlin’s appointment. It describes an expected handover in the first quarter of 2027, rather than a completed change in leadership.
