Jeddah Tower, also called JEC Tower and Kingdom Tower, reached 106 floors and 430 metres in the latest dated project update, published by Dar Al-Handasah on 31 July 2026. The tower is planned to exceed 1,000 metres, but it is still under construction and has not become the world’s tallest building.
How tall is Jeddah Tower now?
Dar Al-Handasah reported on 31 July 2026 that the tower’s 106th floor was complete and the structure stood 430 metres tall. Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal described the milestone in Dar’s update: “We have reached a height of 430 meters out of 1000+ m.” Read Dar Al-Handasah’s project update.

Kingdom Holding’s second-quarter 2026 progress figures, reported by Zawya on 7 August, also placed the building at level 106 and 430 metres. The project’s stated target is a height of more than 1,000 metres. Saudi Binladin Group describes it as a tower planned to rise above that mark; this is the design target, not its present height. See Saudi Binladin Group’s project description.

Kingdom Holding’s Q2 figures, as reported by Zawya, describe more than 300,000 cubic metres of concrete poured—approximately 67 percent of the total—and more than 3,000 façade panels installed, about 11 percent of the planned total. Façade cladding and MEP first-fix installation were continuing. The figures are company-reported project progress, not independently audited measurements.
Will it become the world’s tallest building?
It is being built toward a height that would make it a contender for the world’s tallest-building record. That outcome depends on completing the tower to its planned height, and the building has not yet reached that point. The available project updates do not establish an independent certification of a future record, so it is more accurate to say Jeddah Tower is advancing toward a possible record than to call it the world’s tallest now.

Who is building Jeddah Tower?
Jeddah Economic Company is the developer and client, and Saudi Binladin Group is carrying out the main construction works. Dar Al-Handasah identifies itself as Architect of Record and site supervisor; its stated work also includes design review and geotechnical engineering beneath the foundations. In January 2026, Zawya reported that Kingdom Holding CEO Talal Almaiman expected completion in 2028. That is an attributed forecast, not a guaranteed completion date; the available information does not establish a newer binding schedule or an opening date.

What will the tower contain?
Project descriptions outline residential, office, hospitality and retail space, as well as an observation deck. Zawya’s January 2026 report described a luxury hotel and an observation deck at 630 metres. These are planned facilities, not services currently open to visitors. Saudi Binladin Group describes approximately 530,000 square metres of built-up area for the project.

Jeddah Tower’s progress has been reported at different stages, so older counts should not be mistaken for current status. Kingdom Holding’s original announcement that Jeddah Economic Company had signed an agreement with Saudi Binladin Group to resume work said 63 of 157 floors were complete at that time.
