Mark Cuban’s Laguna Beach home was reported sold for $19 million in 2018. Contemporary accounts describe a roughly 7,900-square-foot, six-bedroom residence in Montage Residences, with glass walls that open shared spaces to the outdoors and a pool overlooking the coast. The sale price is historical—not a current appraisal—and published accounts differ slightly on the home’s exact area and bathroom count.
Where the house is—and what the $19 million figure means
The home is in Montage Residences, a private community beside the Montage Resort & Spa in Laguna Beach. The Orange County Business Journal described the community as having 13 homes in January 2019. The Los Angeles Times reported on December 24, 2018, that Cuban paid $19 million; the Orange County Business Journal reported the sale the following month.

The Times said the home had been listed since January at $25.995 million, citing the Multiple Listing Service. That was the reported asking price before the sale, not the home’s current asking price or a present-day valuation. The Business Journal called the $19 million sale the highest at Montage in the preceding year, attributing the comparison to listing agency Villa Real Estate.
Reported size and room count
Accounts agree on six bedrooms but give slightly different measurements. The Times described about 7,900 square feet of interior space and 7.75 bathrooms; the Business Journal reported 7,867 square feet and seven bathrooms. These are the figures published in those reports, not a reconciled current property specification.

The Times reported that the contemporary-style, stone-finished house was built in 2010. The Business Journal also noted an HOA fee of about $1,600 per month in its January 2019 account; that is a dated figure, not a current fee quote.
Design and indoor-outdoor layout
The Times described a gated courtyard and high ceilings, with mahogany finishes and bi-folding glass walls opening common areas to the outdoors. Its account listed a center-island kitchen, two family rooms, an office or den, and a formal dining room. A floating glass staircase was among the features described separately by the Business Journal.

Both reports noted a lower-level media room and a glass-enclosed wine cellar; the Business Journal also mentioned a bar. These descriptions come from published coverage, not an independent inspection of the property.
Outdoor amenities and views
The Times reported ocean views, landscaping, a swimming pool, fire pit, and built-in barbecue area. The Business Journal likewise noted the pool, barbecue grill, and fire pit.

Reported use as a vacation retreat
A 2022 Orange County Business Journal profile, citing Laguna Beach Magazine, said Cuban spent about five weeks a year at the residence. The Business Journal’s July 2026 profile also characterized it as a vacation retreat and said he spent several weeks a year there. These are reported descriptions of use, not confirmation of his current occupancy.
The 2022 profile reproduced a statement attributed to Cuban speaking to Laguna Beach Magazine: “If you see me in Laguna, always feel free to walk up and say ‘hi.’” The profile did not provide the magazine article’s publication date.

What is—and is not—confirmed about current ownership
The 2026 Business Journal profile still calls the house Cuban’s residence, but the available reporting does not independently establish current title or occupancy through property records. The City of Laguna Beach explains that property- and project-related documents can be searched in its records system by address or assessor parcel number; its Property Records Search page provides the search route, not a record confirming this home’s present owner.
