Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly bought a renovated Beverly Hills home for $9.9 million in December 2021. Reports describe a 1936 residence with a spiral staircase, updated interiors, a pool and a detached guesthouse. Published accounts disagree on its bedroom count and floor area, so those figures should be treated as source-specific rather than definitive.

How much did Leonardo DiCaprio pay for the Beverly Hills home?

Architectural Digest and Realtor.com reported a purchase price of $9.9 million in 2021. Realtor.com said the sale closed on December 3, after the property was listed for $10.2 million in August. These are reported transaction details, not a current valuation. Architectural Digest; Realtor.com.

What does the house look like?

Architectural Digest reported that the house was built in 1936 and described a traditional-leaning residence with updated finishes. Standout interior details include a wrought-iron spiral staircase, marble accents, modern lighting and a cathedral ceiling in the primary bedroom. The gourmet kitchen was reported to have high-end stainless-steel appliances, including two wine coolers. Architectural Digest.

Realtor.com’s 2021 description adds white-oak floors, a family room with built-in bookshelves, an eat-in kitchen with an island, and an upstairs primary suite with a balcony overlooking the pool. Its account also describes a 0.27-acre lot, olive trees, outdoor seating, a fire pit, a gated driveway and a detached guesthouse. Realtor.com.

Other listing-era details appeared in 2022 coverage: Mansion Global mentioned privacy hedges, custom steel doors, a bay-windowed living area with a wet bar, a study or office, and a primary suite with a sunroom. It said the guesthouse could be used as an additional bedroom, gym or workspace. These descriptions reflect the listing coverage at the time, not a verified account of the home’s current condition. Mansion Global.

Outdoor spaces and guesthouse

Reports describe an outdoor dining area or terrace, a pool and a fire-pit lounge. Architectural Digest’s 2022 rental coverage also described French doors, a rectangular pool, a patio, a detached one-car garage and a guesthouse styled to match the main house. Architectural Digest.

How many bedrooms and bathrooms does it have?

Published accounts conflict. The 2021 purchase coverage from Architectural Digest and Realtor.com described five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms, with about 5,000 square feet. In 2022 rental coverage, Architectural Digest described four bedrooms, six bathrooms and 4,671 square feet; Mansion Global also reported four bedrooms and six bathrooms. The coverage does not explain the differences, so no single count or area can be treated as settled based on these reports.

Was the home later listed for rent?

Yes. Architectural Digest and Mansion Global reported a rental asking price of $32,500 per month in 2022. That is a historical asking price, not evidence that the property is available to rent now. Architectural Digest; Mansion Global.

What is known about the home’s status now?
