If your Samsung stove has no button labeled Clock, look for Clock/Setting or Clock/Settings. On a Smart Dial model, the time may instead be under Options or Menu. The exact steps depend on the control panel, so match the instructions below to your stove and use its model-specific manual if the labels differ.
First, identify your Samsung stove’s control layout
Samsung ranges do not all use the same clock-setting sequence. Check the control panel before pressing buttons:
- Button-pad model: Look for a Clock icon or a button labeled Clock, Clock/Setting, or Clock/Settings. Time entry may use the number pad or Up/Down controls.
- Smart Dial model: Look for an Options or three-line Menu control and a rotary dial. The clock setting may be inside a menu rather than on a dedicated button.
Samsung’s general instructions describe both kinds of control panels and advise checking the exact model manual when the controls differ: Samsung range clock-setting guidance.
Set the time on a button-pad model
Use the clock control briefly
- Press the relevant Clock, Clock/Setting, or Clock/Settings control. Do not assume that a long press is required.
- Enter the hours and minutes using the number pad or the Up/Down controls, whichever your panel provides.
- If prompted, press the clock control again to select AM or PM. Skip this if the range uses a 24-hour display.
- Confirm using Clock or START/SET, as indicated by your panel.
For the Samsung NE63*811* family, Samsung specifies this sequence: press Clock/Setting once, adjust the time with Up/Down, then press Clock or START/SET. Samsung warns that holding Clock/Setting for three seconds or longer opens the user-preference menu instead of clock adjustment. This warning applies to that model family, not every Samsung range: Samsung NE63*811* clock instructions.

Set the time on a Samsung Smart Dial model
On the cited NE63*875*S* family, Samsung places time-setting in the menu rather than on a dedicated Clock key:
- Tap Options.
- Use the dial knob to select Set time.
- Enter the time with the dial.
- Push the knob to confirm.
Samsung’s instructions for this family are here: Samsung NE63*875*S* Smart Dial clock instructions. Other Smart Dial panels may use a three-line Menu icon or a different menu sequence, so follow the labels shown on your model.

If the panel is asleep or the time will not save
Wake a sleeping Smart Dial panel
Samsung says Smart Dial models enter Sleep mode after two minutes without input. Turn or push the dial to wake the panel, then try the time-setting steps again.
Check the model manual if controls do not match
If the buttons, menu labels, or confirmation step differ, stop rather than trying unrelated settings. Find the full model number on the range and use its manual or contact Samsung support. If the controls do not respond or the time does not remain set, the general instructions do not establish a universal cause. Use the manual for your exact model or Samsung support rather than assuming a particular part has failed.
