Set the clock on a button-control Samsung gas range

Find the Clock button or clock icon on the oven control panel.

Press it briefly. On some models, holding the button for about three seconds opens Settings instead.

If the display asks for AM or PM, select the correct one. Skip this step if your model does not offer it or uses a 24-hour display.

Enter the time with the number pad or directional controls, depending on your panel.

Press Clock or START/SET to confirm. The display should show the time. If you entered it incorrectly and your model has a Clear button, use it to restart the entry.

Samsung notes that procedures can differ between ranges. You can find manuals on the support page for your specific model, such as the NX58F5700WS or NX58H9500WS. Enter your exact model number on Samsung’s support site and follow its manual if the steps here do not match your controls. Samsung’s clock-setting guide also notes that the sequence may vary by model.
Use the controls that match your range
Smart Dial ranges
Samsung Canada’s Smart Dial instructions use the Menu icon rather than a dedicated Clock button: tap Menu, select Set time with the dial, enter the time, then push the dial to confirm. The dial can wake the panel if it is asleep; Samsung says Sleep mode starts after two minutes of inactivity. The Menu also includes a Time format option for switching between 12-hour and 24-hour display. Available settings can vary by country and model, so check the manual for your range. Touch-screen ovens
Samsung also documents automatic date-and-time setting with Wi-Fi enabled and manual changes through Settings > Date & Time on some touch-screen wall ovens. That guidance is for wall ovens; do not assume the same menu applies to a Samsung gas range.
Why you may need to reset the clock
A power outage can leave the range clock needing correction. Samsung says an accurate clock also supports automatic functions such as delayed cooking and Sabbath mode, where those features are available on the model. Samsung’s guidance recommends checking the model-specific instructions for the relevant controls.

If the clock steps do not work

Holding Clock opens Settings: press the button briefly instead; some models assign a long press of about three seconds to Settings.

You do not see AM/PM: your model may use a 24-hour display or omit the prompt. Check the manual rather than trying to force an AM/PM choice.

The controls are asleep: on a Smart Dial range, tap Menu or use the dial to wake the panel, then select Set time.

The panel uses different labels or controls: look up the model-specific manual on Samsung’s model support page. Samsung’s US guide and Canada guide both caution that settings and procedures vary by model or region.
Setting the clock is separate from troubleshooting a burner that will not ignite. Samsung has separate gas-range guidance for manual burner lighting with a long gas grill lighter; follow the appliance manual and safety instructions for ignition concerns rather than treating a clock reset as a fix. Samsung’s gas-range burner guidance addresses that separate task.
