Measure your current panel and compare its dimensions, thickness, machine compatibility, load rating, and delivered price before buying. Without your laser model or panel measurements, no single replacement—or specific savings amount—can be recommended.
What a honeycomb table does
A honeycomb panel supports material during laser cutting. xTool’s Support Center describes it as helping keep material level and supported while allowing airflow and helping move heat, smoke, and debris. It can also protect the surface beneath the workpiece. These are manufacturer explanations, not independent comparative test results.
xTool also describes magnetic fixation and heat dissipation as features of its honeycomb setup, and advises using a riser to help guard against deformation associated with repeated laser-cylinder mode use. Follow guidance for your particular machine and accessory rather than assuming every panel or setup works the same way.
Why replacement panels are not interchangeable
Panels differ in footprint and thickness, and a laser’s advertised engraving area does not necessarily tell you the dimensions of its bed or tray. A panel that looks similar may still be too large, too small, or too thick for your machine. Check the manufacturer’s compatibility information or compare the panel’s actual external dimensions with the machine manual and bed.

OMTech also lists other honeycomb worktable sizes, including 12 × 20 and 20 × 28 inches, in its honeycomb worktable collection. Their existence does not establish that either size fits a particular machine.
How to check fit before buying
- Measure the panel you have. Record its external length, width, and thickness. If it sits in a removable tray, measure the tray’s usable space as well.
- Check the machine’s available space. Confirm the bed or tray dimensions and the vertical clearance above the panel in the position you will use it. Do not rely only on the advertised engraving area.
- Verify compatibility. Prefer a maker’s explicit model compatibility statement. For a third-party panel, compare its actual dimensions with your manual and check whether the machine has a proprietary tray or clearance restriction.
- Check support needs. If you will place a heavy workpiece on the panel, compare construction and any published load capacity with the intended load. Ask the seller about material and flatness if the listing does not establish them.
- Compare the delivered cost. Compare current prices for panels that match your dimensions and requirements, including shipping and your region. Recheck price and stock before ordering; the cited product listings do not establish a universal cheaper option or a savings amount.
What makes a replacement genuinely cheaper?
A lower sticker price is not a useful saving if the panel does not fit, cannot support the workpiece, or requires modifications that compromise safe operation. Compare like with like: exact footprint and thickness, compatibility, load capacity where relevant, and delivered price. If a machine uses a proprietary tray or has limited clearance, a panel explicitly listed for that model is the safer starting point than choosing by appearance alone.

The available manufacturer listings show that model-specific dimensions and capacity can differ substantially. They do not provide a common price comparison or establish that an aftermarket panel performs as well as a named accessory. Treat any claimed savings or performance advantage as something to verify with current seller information, not as a general fact.
