After you authorize the Eufy Security account, Google can discover the camera and respond to commands such as “Hey Google, show me Front Door.” The live feed is intended for compatible Google Assistant-enabled displays, such as a Nest Hub—not directly inside the Google Home mobile app. Eufy’s current support documentation also says its cameras are not supported on Google TV.
What you need before starting
- A Eufy camera, doorbell, floodlight camera, or other device listed in Eufy’s current compatibility table.
- The Eufy Security app and an active Eufy Security account.
- The Google Home app and Google Account.
- A compatible Google Assistant-enabled speaker or display if you want voice-initiated video.
- A camera that is online and already showing live video in the Eufy app.
- The administrator Eufy account, rather than a shared-user account.
- Stable internet access and the correct Google Home household selected.
Set up the camera in Eufy Security first. Google’s guidance for third-party devices likewise expects the manufacturer’s app setup to be complete before linking the device to Google Home.

Check your Eufy camera’s compatibility
Do not assume every Eufy camera works identically with Google Home. Eufy’s published list includes families such as:
- eufyCam and eufyCam E
- eufyCam 2, 2C, 2 Pro and 2C Pro
- eufyCam 3, 3C and S3 Pro
- Selected SoloCams, including E20, E40, L20, L40 and S40
- Selected wired and battery video doorbells
- Floodlight cameras
- IndoorCam and Solo IndoorCam models
- OutdoorCam and OutdoorCam Pro models
The exact model matters because the table distinguishes functions. Some devices support live streaming, while others may expose additional functions such as floodlight control. Check Eufy’s live compatibility table before troubleshooting or replacing hardware.

Connect Eufy Security to Google Home
- Open the Google Home app.
- Select the correct home.
- Tap Add.
- Choose Device.
- Tap Link apps or services. Depending on the app version, this may appear as Works with Google or use equivalent wording.
- Search for Eufy Security, not just “Eufy.”
- Select the Eufy service and sign in with the administrator Eufy Security account.
- Approve the requested permissions.
- Allow Google Home to discover or synchronize the available devices.
- Assign the camera to the appropriate room.
- Give it a short, distinctive name such as Front Door or Driveway.
Google’s general third-party setup instructions describe the same manufacturer-account linking route: Google Home → Add → Device → Link apps or services. The labels can move slightly between app versions and Android or iPhone.
Name and organize the camera for reliable voice commands
Use names that are easy to pronounce and unique within the home. Avoid duplicate names such as “Camera” or “Front,” emojis, and unusual punctuation. Assign each camera to its correct room so you can include the room or display name when necessary.
If you rename a camera in Eufy Security, ask Google to discover or synchronize the devices again. Eufy says rediscovery is needed for the updated name to reach Google Assistant.

- “Hey Google, show the Front Door.”
- “Hey Google, show Front Door on the living room display.”
To end the feed, say “Hey Google, stop.” The camera name in the command must match the name Google recognizes.
This integration does not turn Google Home into a replacement for Eufy Security. Use Eufy’s app for device settings, recordings, playback, and features that Google does not expose.
What works—and what does not
| Capability | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Account linking | Supported for compatible devices through Google Home’s linked-services flow. |
| Voice-initiated live viewing | Documented on compatible Google Assistant-enabled displays. |
| Streaming in the Google Home mobile app | Eufy says direct camera streaming in the Google Home app is not supported. |
| Google TV | Eufy’s cited support documentation says its devices are not compatible with Google TV. |
| Floodlight control | Available only on certain supported floodlight models. |
| Every Eufy feature in Google Home | Not supported; capabilities vary by exact model. |
Google speakers without screens can help with voice control, but they cannot display video. If hands-free viewing is the goal, you need a compatible Assistant-enabled display. Google’s third-party camera guidance also emphasizes manufacturer-app setup and compatible display requirements.
Fix common connection and streaming problems
Google cannot find Eufy Security
- Search for Eufy Security in Google Home → Add → Device → Link apps or services.
- Confirm the camera is already configured in Eufy Security.
- Check that the correct Google Account and Google Home household are selected.
- Update both Google Home and Eufy Security.
- Check whether an old Eufy connection is still linked, then unlink and reconnect it if necessary.
- Use the Eufy account administrator’s credentials.
- Confirm the camera has not been removed from the Eufy account or transferred to another household.
Do not use Matter setup as the default route unless your particular Eufy model explicitly supports Matter. Eufy’s documented camera workflow uses the Google Assistant account-linking pathway.

The camera appears, but Google cannot connect to the stream
- Open the camera in Eufy Security and confirm that live view works there.
- Check that the camera is online and has a stable connection.
- Restart the camera and HomeBase, if your system uses one.
- Restart the Google display.
- Restart the router.
- Confirm the camera and display are in the same Google Home household. Keeping them on the same home network is also a useful practical check.
- Unlink and relink Eufy Security.
- Say “Hey Google, sync my devices” or “Hey Google, sync my cameras.”
- Retry with the exact camera name and a simple command.
A camera appearing in Google Home does not guarantee that its live stream is available. The model may support discovery but not the requested function, or the problem may be caused by an offline device, stale account link, or an unsupported attempt to stream in the mobile app or through Google TV.
The voice command selects the wrong camera
Rename cameras so every name is short and unique, assign them to the right rooms, and synchronize devices again. Include the full camera or room name in the command. Avoid names that sound alike.
The stream works in Eufy but not on the Nest display
Check that the display is online and signed into the Google Account used to link Eufy. Confirm that the display belongs to the selected Google Home household, that the camera model supports live streaming, and that you are using the camera’s Google-recognized name. If the problem persists after restarting the devices and router, relink Eufy Security. Eufy recommends contacting its support team when live view works in Eufy Security but repeatedly fails through Google Assistant.
Is Eufy with Google Home the right setup?
This combination makes sense if you already own Eufy cameras and want a voice shortcut to live video on a compatible Google display. It is less suitable if you require dependable video inside the Google Home phone app, Google TV support, or complete access to every camera feature from one interface.

A native Google Nest camera is generally the simpler choice for readers who prioritize deeper Google Home integration. Eufy may be the better fit for people who already own its hardware or want to stay within the Eufy Security ecosystem. Do not assume a paid Google Home Premium or Nest Aware-style plan is required for basic Eufy account linking; the cited integration documentation does not establish that requirement, and plan features vary by region and device. See Google’s current plan documentation for applicable terms.

Why does Google Home show my camera as offline?
First test live view in Eufy Security. An offline camera, HomeBase, router, or stale account connection can prevent streaming. Restart the relevant devices, verify the linked administrator account, synchronize devices, and relink Eufy if needed.
Can a shared Eufy account connect to Google Assistant?
Eufy’s troubleshooting guidance recommends using the camera administrator account rather than a shared-user account for Google Assistant linking.
How do I rename a camera Google cannot understand?
Give it a short, unique name in Eufy Security, then rediscover or synchronize the devices in Google Home. Use the exact recognized name in your command.
Do all Eufy cameras support the same Google commands?
No. Compatibility and available functions vary by model. Some devices support live streaming, while selected floodlight cameras may also support light control.
Do I need a paid Eufy or Google subscription to link the camera?
The cited setup documentation does not establish that a paid subscription is required for account linking. Check the current Eufy and Google terms for any separate recording, storage, or premium features you intend to use.
