1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsA cordless blower and string trimmer combo can simplify routine lawn care by pairing two useful tools with a shared battery platform. The best fit depends less on the voltage printed on the box than on the included battery and charger, the tools’ performance features, your yard’s needs, and whether you already own compatible batteries.
What to compare in a combo kit
Look at the kit as a complete system, not just a pair of tool names or a headline voltage. A larger battery may support longer work between charges, while a lighter or smaller bundle may suit shorter cleanup and trimming sessions. Manufacturer specifications are useful for comparing listed features, but they are not independent tests and do not establish a winner across brands.
- Battery platform and bundle: Check the voltage platform, battery capacity in amp-hours (Ah), charger, and any included line or spools. Confirm the exact model and selected bundle before buying; a product page may show multiple configurations.
- Blower: Compare airflow in cubic feet per minute (CFM), airspeed in miles per hour (MPH), and speed controls. CFM and MPH describe different aspects of airflow, and a maximum figure alone does not tell you how easily the blower can be adjusted for different cleanup tasks.
- String trimmer: Compare cutting swath, line type, feed and reload method, and whether an attachment-capable shaft matters for tools you may want to add.
- Ownership details: Check warranty terms, recharge information, and whether the battery works with tools you already own on the same brand and voltage platform.
How the listed kits differ
These manufacturer-listed examples illustrate different bundle and feature priorities. Their specifications are not a controlled performance comparison; runtime claims are manufacturer estimates tied to the stated battery and use.
| Kit | Manufacturer-listed tools and bundle | Details to weigh |
|---|---|---|
| EGO ST6151LB, 56V | 15-inch POWERLOAD trimmer; blower rated up to 615 CFM and 170 MPH; 2.5Ah battery and standard charger. EGO lists up to 45 minutes of trimmer runtime and up to 75 minutes of blower runtime per included battery. | Variable blower control and turbo; listed 5-year limited tool and 3-year limited battery warranties. Runtime is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independently measured result. |
| EGO ST6703LB, 56V | 15-inch POWERLOAD trimmer; blower rated up to 670 CFM; 4.0Ah battery and 210W charger. | Variable speed, turbo, tapered and spread nozzles, and IPX4-rated construction; listed 5-year limited tool and 3-year limited battery warranties. |
| Greenworks CKBS22, 24V | 12-inch trimmer/edger; blower rated at 320 CFM and 90 MPH; 2.0Ah battery, charger, and three spools. | Greenworks lists a 60-minute recharge time and 3-year limited tool and battery warranties. The page says the kit works with Greenworks 24V batteries. |
| Greenworks CKBS28, 80V | 17-inch trimmer; blower rated at 730 CFM. The page shows a 3.0Ah battery and charger configuration, but the product page offers options, so verify the selected bundle. | Greenworks lists blower runtime up to 50 minutes and trimming distance up to 2 miles for its stated configuration. The kit is described as compatible with 75+ Greenworks 80V products. |
Voltage labels describe different battery platforms; they do not, by themselves, prove which kit performs better. The examples above span Greenworks 24V and 80V and EGO 56V, so compare the actual tool specifications and bundle for the work you plan to do.

What battery size do you need?
Start with your typical work session and the battery you already own, if any. Ah indicates battery capacity, but the listed runtime for a tool also depends on the tool, settings, and conditions of use. The manufacturer claims above were not measured under shared conditions, so they should not be treated as directly comparable.
- For short, occasional jobs: A smaller included battery may be adequate if you can finish trimming and cleanup without a long continuous run, or do not mind recharging between tasks.
- For longer or more demanding sessions: Compare larger-capacity bundles and whether the platform offers compatible batteries you could add. A larger battery can add weight, so consider handling as well as capacity.
- If you own battery-powered tools already: Check the exact brand and voltage platform before treating an existing battery as a reason to choose a kit. EGO lists compatibility with EGO 56V ARC Lithium batteries; Greenworks identifies CKBS22 as compatible with Greenworks 24V batteries and CKBS28 with Greenworks 80V products. These are platform-specific systems, not cross-brand compatibility claims.
Choose features for the yard work you do
Blower cleanup
For moving leaves and other light debris, assess the combination of CFM, MPH, and control options rather than shopping by the largest number alone. Variable speed can help tailor airflow to the task; a turbo mode offers a higher-output setting when needed. The EGO ST6151LB page, for example, lists up to 615 CFM and 170 MPH, along with variable control and turbo. Those are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee of results on every surface or debris type.

- TWO-TOOL LAWN CARE COMBO: Includes a 12'' cordless string trimmer/edger and 360 CFM leaf blower to trim grass, edge walkways, and clear clippings or dry leaves after mowing.
- 2-IN 1 TRIMMER: Convert the string trimmer to an edger by pivoting the head, making it easier to maintain lawn borders, sidewalks, driveways, and flower beds.
- COMMAND FEED LINE SYSTEM: Push-button line feed provides fresh trimmer line on demand so you can keep cutting without bumping the head.
- TURBINE BLOWER: The cordless blower delivers up to 360 CFM and 75 MPH for clearing grass clippings, dry leaves, and debris from patios, walkways, and driveways.
- LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN: Both tools are designed for easier handling during routine lawn maintenance and quick cleanup around the yard.
Trimming and line management
A wider cutting swath can cover more width in a pass, while line-feed and reload design affect routine upkeep. Check whether the kit uses a bump-feed or other system, and confirm replacement line or spools fit the exact trimmer model. EGO describes the ST6703LB as having a 15-inch swath and POWERLOAD automatic line winding. If you may use attachments, verify that the shaft is designed for them rather than assuming all combo trimmers accept them.
Check the exact bundle before you buy
- Identify the exact model number. Distinguish among kit versions even when product names are similar.
- Read the selected option’s contents. Confirm battery capacity, charger, and included accessories on the actual listing; do not infer them from a headline or another configuration shown on the same page.
- Match the platform to your existing tools. Confirm compatibility with the brand’s stated voltage system and battery family.
- Compare warranty and service terms. The listed examples have different warranty details; read the manufacturer’s terms for the market where you will purchase.
Manufacturer pages and bundles can change, and availability may vary by location. Check the product listing at purchase time for current specifications and the precise battery-and-charger combination.

When a combo makes sense
A combo is convenient when you need both tools and the shared battery system fits your plans. It may be less valuable if you already own one of the tools, need a different trimmer capability, or would prefer a larger battery or different charger than the bundle includes. For a practical decision, compare the total kit contents against your existing equipment and the trimming and cleanup tasks you actually expect to do—not the voltage label or maximum specification in isolation.
