Check the model number and use the matching owner’s manual, because LG panels differ: some use a Clock button and number keys, while others use Cook Time or plus/minus controls. The examples below show how several LG models work; follow your own panel’s instructions if they differ.
Find your LG range model before changing the clock
Look for the range’s model number, then find the corresponding manual or support page on LG Support. The exact model matters: the button names and steps differ across LG control panels, so do not assume a procedure for one range applies to another.
Use the labels on your control panel to identify which example below is closest. If its buttons or display do not match, use the manual for your model instead.
Set the time on common LG control panels
LSE4617: Cook Time and plus/minus
- Turn the oven mode knob to Off.
- Press and hold Cook Time for three seconds.
- Use plus or minus to set the time.
- Press Start to save.
These are the steps shown for the LSE4617 in LG’s LSE4617 control-panel video; do not apply them automatically to other models.

Models with a Clock button and plus/minus
- Turn the oven mode knob to Off.
- Press Clock.
- Use plus or minus to adjust the time.
- Press Start.
This procedure appears in LG range manual MFL68920504. On the model covered by that manual, the clock cannot be changed during timed baking or a self-clean cycle. If you do not press another key within 25 seconds after pressing Clock, the display returns to its original setting. The manual also says the clock must be correct for automatic oven timing functions to work properly.
LDG3017ST: Clock and number keys
- Press Clock.
- Enter the time using the number keys.
- Press Start.
The LDG3017ST owner’s manual says the time cannot be changed during timed baking or Self Clean. The entry window expires after 30 seconds, so complete the sequence promptly.

Change between 12-hour and 24-hour time
Time format is also model-dependent. For the LSE4617, LG’s video instructs users to turn the oven mode knob to Off, hold Start Time for three seconds, select the hour mode with plus or minus, and press Start. The video then says to reset the time to confirm the mode. For the LDG3017ST, the manual describes holding Clock for three seconds, pressing 1 or 2 to choose the format, and pressing Start. Use only the instructions for your exact model.

LG says a flashing clock or PF message may appear when the range is first plugged in or after a home power interruption; by itself, this does not mean the range is malfunctioning. The reset and Clear Off steps vary by range type and display layout. On some panels, press Clear Off to clear PF or stop the flashing; if the time needs resetting, press Clock and enter it again. See LG’s PF and flashing-clock instructions for the relevant panel layout, then follow your model’s manual.

If the time will not change
- A timed bake or self-clean cycle is running: Some models block clock changes during these cycles. End or exit the cycle as appropriate, then follow the model-specific clock procedure.
- The setting disappears: Complete the key sequence within the entry window. The cited manuals give a 25-second window for one model and a 30-second window for the LDG3017ST.
- The controls do not match the instructions: Stop and check the manual for the exact model number rather than trying another model’s sequence.
- PF or a flashing display returns after a power interruption: Set the clock again using the instructions for your panel. If the display or controls continue to behave unexpectedly, consult LG support for your model.
