To change a Samsung dryer heating element, first find the complete model number and confirm that your appliance is an electric dryer with a replaceable heating assembly. Samsung dryer parts and repair procedures vary by model and regional version, so use the repair guide and parts diagram for your exact appliance rather than following a universal teardown or ordering a part by appearance.
1. Identify the dryer and its exact model number
Before buying a part or opening the cabinet, record the complete model number from the appliance label. Include every character after the base model, including any suffix that identifies a regional or product variant. Samsung says model lookup helps customers avoid ordering incompatible parts in its dryer parts catalog.
Confirm the dryer type as well. This guide is for electric dryers that use a replaceable heating assembly; it does not establish that every Samsung dryer design has a user-serviceable element. These examples illustrate why the documentation must match your own model; neither procedure nor parts should be assumed to apply to a different dryer.

Use the repair guide to check whether the element is intended to be replaced separately or as part of a larger assembly, and to identify the modelβs access route, fasteners, connectors, and reassembly requirements. If the guide is unavailable for your model or does not clearly cover the repair, do not substitute instructions for another Samsung dryer.
3. Confirm that the heating assembly is the part to replace
A βSamsung dryer not heatingβ symptom alone does not prove that the heating element has failed. Have the dryer diagnosed using the guidance for its exact model before ordering an assembly. Samsung Parts lists heating elements as a dryer part category, but compatibility is selective. For example, the Samsung Parts USA listing for the DVE45R6300C/A3 assembly identifies compatible models; that listing is not evidence that the assembly fits other Samsung dryers. Check each candidate listing for:
- Compatibility with the complete model number, including its suffix.
- Whether it is an OEM or manufacturer-recommended part.
- Whether it is the complete assembly or only an individual component.
Samsungβs safety information says not to use replacement parts that the manufacturer has not recommended. Consult the warning in your own model manual before proceeding.

4. Replace it only by following the exact-model procedure
There is no single removal and installation sequence established for all Samsung dryers. Cabinet layout, access panels, wiring, and heating-system design can differ, so do not apply a teardown sequence from a different model.
- Disconnect power. Before any hands-on work, disconnect the dryer from its power supply and follow the safety instructions in the exact model manual. If you cannot confirm safe electrical isolation, stop and arrange qualified service.
- Follow the matching repair guide. Use the exact-model Samsung guide for the specified tools, access panels, removal sequence, wiring connections, and replacement instructions. Do not bypass thermal protection or improvise with connectors or components.
- Reassemble and check as directed. Follow the model guideβs instructions for securing the assembly, restoring wiring and panels, and any checks it specifies. Do not operate the dryer if the repair is incomplete or the instructions leave a safety question unresolved.
