The exact steps depend on the control panel: keypad models, Smart Dial ranges, and touchscreen wall ovens use different menus. If the buttons or prompts on your appliance do not match, use the manual for its full model number.
Set the clock on a Samsung range with buttons or a keypad
- Press Clock or the clock icon. On some models the control is labeled Clock/Setting.
- Enter the current hours and minutes using the number pad or, if your panel uses them, the Up and Down buttons.
- If prompted, select AM or PM. If there is no prompt, continue; some displays use a 24-hour format.
- Press Clock or START/SET to confirm and save.
These are Samsung’s general instructions for most ranges, not a universal sequence. For example, the NE63*611*S* uses a three-second hold on Clock/Setting before entering the time with Up/Down; the NE63*631*S* uses a press of Clock/Setting followed by number-pad entry. Do not assume that a long press is needed just because the key says Clock/Setting: the required press can vary by model. If you enter the wrong time on a keypad model, Samsung’s general guidance is to press Clear and enter it again.
Find the clock setting for your control-panel type

Samsung’s touchscreen steps apply to the wall-oven section of its guide; do not assume they fit every range. The control-style instructions and settings above are from Samsung’s guide for setting a range clock.

Smart Dial: set the time or change the display format
If the dial panel appears unresponsive, push or turn the dial to wake it. Samsung says these models may enter Sleep mode after two minutes without activity. To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour display, open Menu, choose Time format, select 12hr or 24hr, and push the dial to save.
Touchscreen wall oven: automatic or manual time
In Settings > Date & Time, enable the automatic setting to take time from the internet when Wi-Fi is on. To set it manually, disable automatic time and enter the time zone, date, and time. Samsung says the time display turns off after one hour of inactivity; this does not by itself mean the clock setting was lost.

If the clock will not change or is showing the wrong time
- Check which panel you have. A keypad, Smart Dial, and touchscreen do not use the same steps.
- Try the model-specific press sequence. A short press and a three-second hold can lead to different actions on controls labeled Clock/Setting.
- Restart a keypad entry if it is wrong. Press Clear, then enter the time again, as described in Samsung’s general instructions.
- Use your exact model manual if the labels or prompts differ. Samsung directs owners to the digital manual for their model. The full model number is needed to match the appliance to the right instructions.
A power outage is one reason the clock may need to be set again. Samsung also says an accurate clock supports automatic functions such as delayed cooking and Sabbath mode.
