Housing Association’s £24m Framework: Award Details Remain Unverified

The housing association and contractors behind the reported £24m framework remain unverified. SNG’s 2026 affordable-homes framework and Abri’s 2021 construction framework are separate awards.

The housing association and contractors behind the reported £24m framework cannot be verified from the available announcements. Sovereign Network Group (SNG) did name 22 contractors for a separate, wider affordable-homes framework in 2026, while Abri reported a different £350m construction framework in 2021. Neither is evidence of the £24m award.

What is known about the £24m framework?

The association, procurement scope, appointed firms, geography, award date, contract term and basis of the £24m figure are not established. Without an award notice or announcement tied to that specific procurement, attributing the headline to a particular landlord or contractor list would be guesswork.

SNG’s separate 2026 Affordable Homes framework

Sovereign Network Group announced its Contractor Framework for Affordable Homes on 20 April 2026, with the framework taking effect on 1 April 2026. SNG says it covers its operating regions and has 12 lots, including a Construction Management lot for each region. The regional value bands are up to £15 million, £15 million to £45 million, and over £45 million. SNG’s announcement does not describe this as a £24m award. SNG’s announcement

The announcement names the firms collectively; it does not provide a contractor-by-contractor lot assignment in the information available here.

Programme SNG says the framework supports

SNG says the framework will support planned regeneration and high-rise new-build programmes. It places those activities alongside its broader £10.9bn, 10-year investment plan, which aims to deliver 25,000 new homes and regenerate communities across SNG’s operating regions. Those figures describe SNG’s stated investment plan, not the value or home-delivery commitment of the unverified £24m framework. SNG’s investment-plan details

Abri’s 2021 framework was a different award

Inside Housing reported on 8 April 2021 that Abri selected 11 contractors for a separate £350m construction framework. At the time, the 35,000-home landlord expected the firms to help build at least 10,000 homes over the following decade. The listed contractors were Doswell Projects, Drew Smith, EG Carter & Co, Engie Regeneration, Geoffrey Osborne, Hill Partnerships, Lovell Partnerships, Markey Construction, Midas Construction, Thakeham Client and Willmott Dixon Construction. This historical award is not the £24m framework. Inside Housing’s report

A separate Construction Enquirer report dated 20 April 2026 also covers SNG’s Affordable Homes framework and its appointed contractors; it does not identify a matching £24m award. Construction Enquirer’s report

Why the frameworks should not be conflated

The SNG and Abri announcements establish details about their own procurements, but do not identify the association or firms behind the £24m headline. A reliable match would need to connect the award notice to the relevant buyer and specify what the stated value covers. Until then, the names in either separate framework should not be presented as the contractors picked for the £24m award.
