What the Embody Gaming Chair offers
This is a collaboration between Herman Miller and Logitech G, based on the Embody chair. Herman Miller describes the gaming edition as having an added seat-foam layer, cooling foam technology, BackFit adjustment, and adjustable arm height and width. The US product listing specifies a four-layer seat with elastic suspension and independently moving support coils, a die-cast aluminum frame and five-star base, and 100% polyester Sync upholstery. It weighs 51.75 lb and ships fully assembled, according to that listing (Herman Miller US product page).
Herman Miller explains the added foam this way: “Because you sit in a more upright position when you’re gaming than you might when you’re at work, the Embody Gaming Chair is enhanced with an additional layer of foam in the seat to support your more active posture.” That describes the company’s design intent, not an independently verified comfort outcome (Herman Miller UK product page).
Is it comfortable?
The construction and adjustments may appeal to someone seeking a supportive-feeling chair with a seat that is not simply a single slab of foam. Herman Miller says the chair is designed to encourage movement, support multiple postures, distribute pressure, and limit heat buildup. These are manufacturer claims; they do not establish that the chair prevents pain, provides a medical benefit, or feels comfortable to every user.

Will it fit your body and desk?
Use the dimensions as screening measurements rather than a guarantee of fit. The US listing gives an overall size of 45 in high, 29.5 in wide, and 29 in deep; seat height of 16–20.5 in; seat depth of 15–18 in; and maximum capacity of 300 lb. The UK listing gives metric dimensions and a maximum capacity of 136 kg. - Seat depth: The seat slides forward or backward, allowing you to adjust its depth rather than relying on one fixed position.
- Arms and back: The manufacturer lists arm-height and arm-width adjustment and BackFit adjustment. These give you setup options, but the specifications cannot predict an individualized ergonomic result.
- Space and moving: Measure the floor area available for a chair listed as 29.5 in wide and 29 in deep on the US page. At 51.75 lb, it is also worth considering whether you will need to move it regularly.
What does it cost, and what does the warranty cover?
