The refresh also brought a redesigned, vertically adjustable headrest. Herman Miller’s current US listing shows seven colorways, though prices and stock can change.
What are the four new Vantum colors?
Herman Miller described the new shades as Nightfall (deep blue), Mystic (lilac), Helio (orange), and Abyss (green). They joined the existing Obsidian Black, Polar White, and Flare Red options, bringing the range to seven in the company’s current US listing. Herman Miller’s June 11, 2024 announcement introduced the refresh.
Color names differ in the UK listing: Nightfall Blue, Mystic Purple, Helio Yellow, and Abyss Aqua. Check the regional product page for the exact shade name, current selection, price, and stock before ordering. The US listing displayed $1,155 per colorway when retrieved; the UK listing displayed £990 including VAT. Both figures are snapshots, not guaranteed current prices.
What changed besides the colors?
Redesigned adjustable headrest
The refresh introduced a headrest designed to make vertical adjustment easier. Herman Miller says it works with the chair’s thoracic support pad to support the head, neck, and shoulders. These are the manufacturer’s product claims, not independent ergonomic findings.

Adjustments and construction
Herman Miller describes the Vantum as a performance chair designed with Logitech G, with forward-leaning alignment and adjustable support. Its 2026 price book lists 3D adjustable arms, sliding seat-depth adjustment, a tilt limiter, and tilt-tension adjustment, allowing active upright or reclined postures. The chair ships knocked down and requires assembly.
The current US product page lists proprietary elastomer and polyester suspension in the backrest; polyurethane foam in the seat cushion and headrest; and a glass-filled nylon frame and base. The cushion and headrest are covered in 100% post-consumer recycled polyester fabric. Herman Miller’s 2026 price book states 34% recycled content and 90% recyclability.
