The company had forecast an opening later that year, but its June 2026 update only confirms that the precinct had been introduced by then; it does not give an exact opening date.
What the Newpark dining precinct was planned to include
Hawaiian described the project as an alfresco dining hub intended to make the Girrawheen centre a neighbourhood gathering place. Its announced plans included comfortable outdoor seating, greenery, ambient lighting, fresh signage and new hospitality offerings. The City of Wanneroo had approved the development application by 26 March 2024, according to Hawaiian’s approval announcement.

The July 2024 opening statement was a forecast, not confirmation that the precinct opened that year. Hawaiian’s later wording supports saying it had been introduced by June 2026; the reviewed announcements do not establish its exact opening or completion date, budget or construction contractor. The precinct was part of a wider centre redevelopment
Hawaiian presented the dining area alongside other upgrades at Newpark, including an interior ambience refresh, updated flooring and ceilings, upgraded amenities and retailer relocations. The company said Subway, Viet Long, Girrawheen Family Store, Hai Ha Money Transfer and Golddubbs would move to upgraded premises within the centre. Those relocations and improvements were part of the broader redevelopment, not features of the outdoor dining area itself.

Hawaiian’s live centre directory lists food and drink businesses including Banh Mi Vung Tau, Choose a Cake, Christo’s, Dae Bak Bibimbap, Gyu-en Japanese Yakiniku BBQ, Hungry Jack’s, Muzz Buzz, Subway, T4, Viet Long Noodle House and Wutang Fried Chicken & Skewers. The listings do not establish that every business opened as part of the 2024 redevelopment. Hawaiian lists free parking off Marangaroo Drive and Templeton Crescent and posted centre hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily. These details can change, so check the current Newpark centre page before travelling.
