Hansol IONES has approved a 126 billion won investment, excluding land, to build a semiconductor-equipment-parts plant on company-owned land in the Ochang Technopolis General Industrial Complex in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province. Construction is planned to start in the fourth quarter of 2026, with completion targeted for the first half of 2028, subject to permits, financing execution and construction progress.
The project will add precision machining, cleaning and coating capacity. Hansol IONES says rising operating rates at major memory-chip manufacturers are shortening equipment-component replacement cycles, creating demand it expects to serve from 2027 onward.

When will the Hansol IONES Ochang factory be completed?

Hansol Technics, the largest shareholder, is expected to invest about 24.3 billion won in the rights offering. A separate report put the offering at 60.0048 billion won and gave an indicative timetable: final issue-price determination on January 18, 2027; employee and existing-shareholder subscriptions on January 21–22; public subscription on January 26–27; payment on January 29; and a planned listing on February 16. Those dates and terms remain subject to regulatory approval and execution.
