Can you build it from the description alone?
No complete, reliable cut list or assembly procedure can be derived from the listed materials. Beyond the 3/8-inch plate and 1/4-inch wingnut, the accessible description does not confirm dimensions, assembly order, adjustment range, blade-clamping arrangement, or compatibility with a particular grinder. Those details matter: a fixture must suit the grinder and the blade being worked, and its construction must remain rigid during use. How to interpret the original cost claim
The creator described the jig in 2018 as “really solid, and inexpensive” and said it could be made “for under 30 bucks.” That is a historical estimate from the creator, not an independently verified cost or a current budget. The description does not say whether the figure included tools or shipping, and material prices may have changed since publication. The original listing is the source for that claim.
