- Matter: The S14 Bulb String Lights 2 page explicitly lists Matter support. Do not assume Christmas String Lights 2 or the other models support Matter.

- Verify the rating for the exact model. IP66 and IP67 describe dust and water protection under defined test conditions; they do not authorize submerging the adapter or leaving connections exposed.

Should you buy now or wait?
These are meaningful discounts: the displayed offers range from roughly 20% to more than 30% depending on the product and page snapshot. But there is no evidence here that the current price is the lowest Govee has offered or that every model will receive a deeper discount.
Govee’s June 23–26, 2026 Prime Day promotion advertised savings of up to 53% across its lighting range, and its Prime Day page showed the S14 at $109.99 from $159.99 and Outdoor String Lights 2 at $129.99 from $189.99. That broad promotion does not prove that these string lights will be cheaper during fall, Black Friday, or Cyber Monday.

Govee lists refurbished S14 Bulb String Lights 2 units at $67.99 from $119.99 for 96- and 144-foot configurations. That is potentially excellent value for a price-sensitive buyer, but Govee states that refurbished products are not eligible for return or exchange for non-quality-related reasons.
For a non-negotiable holiday event, new stock may be worth the extra cost because the return terms are less restrictive.
