Ghislaine Maxwell’s former 156-acre estate in Bradford, New Hampshire, has reportedly sold for just under $2.4 million, according to New Hampshire Public Radio’s April 6, 2026 report, which cited Realtor.com. That sale supersedes the property’s 2025 listing, initially reported at $2.495 million and later reduced to $2.365 million.

Did Ghislaine Maxwell’s New Hampshire house sell?

Yes. NHPR reported the sale on April 6, 2026, describing the price as just under $2.4 million and attributing the update to Realtor.com. The amount is a reported sale price, not a deed-confirmed figure in the available reporting.

The property is a 156-acre estate in Bradford known in coverage as “Tucked Away.” NHPR reported that Maxwell bought it in December 2019 for $1.07 million in cash through Granite Reality LLC.

What was the property listed for?

Milestone Reported amount What the figure represents
December 2019 purchase $1.07 million Reported purchase price, as recounted by NHPR in 2026.
2025 listing $2.495 million Asking price reported by InDepth NH in a report republished by Patch.
December 2025 reduction $2.365 million Reduced asking price reported by InDepth NH/Patch.
Reported 2026 sale Just under $2.4 million Reported sale price in NHPR’s account of Realtor.com’s update; the exact closing figure was not stated.

The former $2.5 million headline rounded the original asking price. It was not the reported final sale amount. The reported sale price is also not exactly comparable to either asking price: a listing price is an offer to the market, while a sale price reflects a reported transaction.

What is on the Bradford estate?

An InDepth NH report republished by Patch in December 2025 described a 4,365-square-foot timber-framed main residence, an 1800s Cape house, and a barn on the 156-acre property. These are reported descriptions, not a current survey, listing record, or assessor-verified inventory.

How did its price compare with the local market?

NHPR reported that New Hampshire home values rose an average of 89% from 2019 through the end of 2025, citing the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS (NHAR). NHPR put the former estate’s increase over the same period at 124%. Those figures compare reported property appreciation with a statewide average; they do not establish why the estate’s value changed or prove the final sale price.

For local context, NHPR reported an NHAR median listing price of $520,000 for Bradford for April 2025 through March 2026, 19% higher than the prior year. That is a local listing-price metric over a different period, not a sale-price comparison for properties of equivalent acreage or buildings.

NHPR quoted NHAR vice president of communications Dave Cummings saying, “It is outpacing other homes in the state, and it could be because of different factors.” The remark is an observation, not a confirmed explanation of the estate’s appreciation.

Why is the property associated with Maxwell?

NHPR reported that the FBI arrested Maxwell at the Bradford property in 2020. A December 2025 InDepth NH report republished by Patch described newly released federal documents concerning the transaction, including the use of an alias, and gave further detail about the arrest. Those particulars should be understood as claims attributed to that reporting and the documents it describes.

That same report quoted Bradford Police Chief Ed Shaughnessy reflecting on the apprehension: “Do you think that if I knew she was there, I wouldn’t have come up to get her,” he asked rhetorically.
