Fujairah Cement Industries PJSC has approved a proposal to sell Clinker Production Unit No. 1 to AUM Commodities FZCO, but the sale has not been completed. The company’s 15 October 2026 filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) says the proposal will go to the General Assembly for a final decision “if required” after guidance from the Capital Markets Authority (CMA). Global Cement subsequently reported that FCI was seeking shareholder approval at an annual general meeting scheduled for 16 November 2026. As of 26 October 2026, neither the vote result nor a sale price, definitive terms or quantified financial impact has been disclosed.
What exactly has Fujairah Cement Industries approved?

What is known about Clinker Production Unit No. 1?
Global Cement describes Unit 1 as a 4,500-tonne-per-day clinker line originally built in 1982. The report says FCI had operated it on a campaign basis since mid-2021, indicating intermittent rather than continuous use.

Will shareholders definitely vote on the sale?
Not on the evidence available as of 26 October 2026. The ADX filing makes a General Assembly decision dependent on CMA guidance, while Global Cement says FCI is seeking approval at the 16 November AGM.
The meeting date was still in the future at the reporting cut-off. Investors therefore need a later ADX notice or company announcement to establish whether the vote occurred, what resolution was put to shareholders and whether it passed. No outcome can responsibly be reported yet.

FCI’s 2024 financial statements record a suspension of cement and clinker sales and production during 2024 amid refurbishment delays and financial liquidity constraints. They also say the suspension was extended until further notice from 1 May 2024. Those statements describe the 2024 period and should not be used to claim that operations remained suspended after the 2025 resumption.
Neither the annual report nor the board filing says that the proposed sale was caused by those earlier liquidity difficulties. Any motive, expected proceeds or restructuring rationale remains unconfirmed unless FCI provides a later disclosure.
