The Eureka FloorRover NEU630 is identified in independent reviews as the FloorRover Anti-Tangle Pet, not the FloorRover Elite. Eureka’s FloorRover Elite is a separate model, the NEU520. That distinction matters when comparing performance or checking a seller’s box contents.
For the NEU630, the clearest performance tradeoff is flooring: RTINGS found the FloorRover stronger than the Shark APEX Upright on high-pile carpet, while the Shark performed better on bare floors and low-pile carpet. The FloorRover may suit a pet household with thicker carpet, but its bulk and some build-quality concerns are worth weighing against its cleaning and maintenance strengths.
Is the NEU630 the same as the FloorRover Elite NEU520?
No. RTINGS lists the red-and-silver NEU630 as the FloorRover Anti-Tangle Pet and identifies it as the unit tested in its family review. The teal-and-grey FloorRover Elite is the NEU520. A third family member, the purple NEU526 FloorRover Dash, is also listed separately. Because product-family names are easy to confuse, verify the model number on the specific listing and packaging rather than relying on “FloorRover” or “Elite” in a title. RTINGS’ FloorRover review was first reviewed August 24, 2021, and modified May 24, 2024.

How well does the FloorRover clean different floors?
High-pile carpet
RTINGS describes the FloorRover family as especially effective on high-pile carpet. In its direct comparison with the Shark APEX Upright, RTINGS found the Eureka performed better on this surface. For a home where thick carpet is the main cleaning challenge, that is the strongest case for considering the NEU630.
Bare floors and low-pile carpet
The balance shifts on harder, smoother surfaces. In the same comparison, RTINGS found the Shark APEX more effective on bare floors and low-pile carpet. RTINGS’ family review characterizes the FloorRover as doing a good overall job with debris on those surfaces, but it is not the comparison winner there.

Pet hair and filtration
Consumer Reports’ accessible NEU630 summary says the model adequately cleans carpets and performs well on bare floors, pet hair, and dust filtration. Its listed evaluation categories include carpet, bare floors, pet hair, tool airflow, and clean emissions. The accessible summary does not provide numeric scores, so those results support a qualitative assessment rather than a score-by-score comparison. Consumer Reports’ NEU630 page
What are the practical tradeoffs?
RTINGS describes the FloorRover as bulky and says some parts feel a bit flimsy. In its comparison with the Shark APEX, RTINGS says the Shark feels somewhat better built and is more maneuverable; it also reports that the Eureka is easier to maintain and comes with more tools and accessories. These are RTINGS’ observations, not a universal guarantee about every unit or package. RTINGS’ Shark APEX vs. FloorRover comparison was updated January 28, 2026.

Eureka positions the FloorRover as an upright for pet owners and describes it for deep cleaning carpets, hard floors, and area rugs. That is manufacturer positioning; independent comparisons show why “all-floor” suitability should not be read as identical performance on every surface. Eureka’s US FloorRover catalog entry
What should buyers check before purchasing?
- Confirm the exact model: look for NEU630 if you want the Anti-Tangle Pet variant. Do not assume an NEU520 Elite or NEU526 Dash listing is the same product.
- Match the vacuum to your floors: the strongest comparative case for the FloorRover is high-pile carpet; the Shark APEX performed better in RTINGS’ bare-floor and low-pile comparison.
- Verify accessories and capacity in the live listing: reported variant specifications differ, and seller packages may not match a family-level description.
- Check seller, stock, and current price directly: no current authorized price or inventory is established here.
Maintenance and replacement parts
Eureka’s general troubleshooting FAQ recommends checking the brush roll, filter, and hose when suction is low. It says a belt may need replacement after extended use if the brush roll turns freely but does not spin during operation. Those are general troubleshooting suggestions, not a complete NEU630-specific service procedure; follow the model’s manual for its safety cautions and exact steps. Eureka’s US troubleshooting FAQ

Do not order a filter, belt, or brushroll solely because it appears to fit another FloorRover. The sources reviewed do not establish an official NEU630-compatible replacement part number. RTINGS mentions periodic HEPA-filter replacement for the family but does not provide a verified NEU630 part number. A third-party NEU630 Series manual listing on ManualsLib is not, by itself, official confirmation of parts compatibility.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who is the NEU630 for?
The NEU630 is worth considering when high-pile carpet and pet-related cleaning are priorities, and the exact model listing confirms the tools you want. It is a less obvious fit for a home dominated by bare floors or low-pile carpet if you are choosing specifically on comparative surface performance. Its bulk and RTINGS’ build observations also matter if maneuverability or a sturdier feel is a priority.
