The company pushed multi-lens cameras, local AI, camera-triggered outdoor lighting, and more flexible robot-vacuum designs. The result is a useful security ecosystem—especially when cameras, Permanent Outdoor Lights S4, and HomeBase 3 are combined—but not one completely unified platform in which every eufy product shares the same controls and automations.
This guide separates products announced or launched during calendar year 2025 from newer items that appeared in eufy’s catalog later. Prices and availability are market-specific and can change; where relevant, prices below are launch figures or catalog observations from August 2026.

eufy’s new security cameras
eufyCam E40: the practical solar-assisted option
The eufyCam E40 is aimed at everyday outdoor monitoring. Its headline features are a solar-powered design and 2K MaxColor full-color night vision. The official release listed a $149.99 launch price for an add-on camera.
The E40 is particularly relevant to people extending an existing eufy installation. At launch, eufy stated that it worked with HomeBase 2 and could also use HomeBase S380, commonly marketed as HomeBase 3, for expanded local storage and BionicMind AI capabilities. That does not mean every feature works identically across both hubs. Confirm the exact camera, hub, firmware, and regional compatibility before buying.
For a driveway, side passage, or rear garden, the E40’s combination of solar assistance and color night vision may reduce maintenance compared with a frequently recharged battery camera. Solar is not unlimited power, however. Shade, winter sunlight, camera activity, wireless signal strength, battery condition, and installation angle all affect real-world operation.

The SoloCam E42 was announced with 4K UHD resolution, AI tracking, and built-in deterrent features. eufy announced availability for August 5, 2025. Its natural use case is a location where identifying detail matters more than the E40’s emphasis on solar-assisted operation and low-light color performance.
Higher resolution alone does not guarantee better security footage. A 4K camera may still miss a subject that is too far away, outside the useful field of view, poorly illuminated, or recorded only after motion has already occurred. Position, lighting, recording mode, and storage are as important as the pixel count.

Why eufy emphasized dual-camera products
eufy’s highlighted dual-camera family included the SoloCam S340, Floodlight Cam E340, Indoor Cam S350, and Video Doorbell E340. The basic idea is straightforward:
- A wide-angle lens establishes context.
- A second lens provides a closer or more detailed view.
- A floodlight model adds active illumination.
- A doorbell can watch both visitors and the approach or package area.
eufy also described cross-camera tracking through HomeBase S380. In a suitably configured system, that can be more useful than simply increasing resolution: one camera can establish where a person entered while another continues following or recording the subject. The capability depends on supported devices and configurations, so it should not be assumed for every camera or every HomeBase generation. See eufy’s official dual-camera description for the manufacturer’s supported lineup.
eufyCam S4: the most ambitious 2025 camera
Announced on September 4, 2025, the eufyCam S4 combines a 4K fixed bullet camera with a 2K dual-lens PTZ camera. eufy describes the system as providing a 130-degree fixed view plus 360-degree tracking from the PTZ component, with automatic target tracking and auto-framing.
The camera also includes a detachable 5.5W solar panel, radar and PIR motion detection, red-and-blue warning lights, and a manufacturer-rated 105 dB siren. These features make the S4 better suited to a large yard, driveway, or other area where a fixed view and active tracking are both valuable.
eufy’s announced US launch prices were $299 for a solo camera, $649 for a two-camera kit with HomeBase S380, and $1,149 for a four-camera kit with HomeBase S380. The official store later displayed different catalog prices, including $349.99 for a single camera and $799.99 for a two-camera kit. Treat those figures as time-stamped prices rather than permanent pricing; see the current eufy collection before purchasing.

- Precise Detection, Powerful Deterrence: Radar and PIR sensors deliver precise motion alerts with fewer false alarms. When a threat is detected within your set zone or schedule, red and blue warning lights and a 105 dB siren activate to deter intruders.
Permanent Outdoor Lights S4: lighting as part of security
Permanent Outdoor Lights S4 were presented as more than decorative roofline lighting. eufy describes a wired radar sensor that detects human movement, supports directional tracking, and can trigger illumination, red warning-light effects, and strobe modes. The system can also react to compatible camera events and use HomeBase 3 human detection in specified configurations.
The lighting specification includes 72 LED beads per 100 feet, 14.5-inch spacing, RGBIC lighting, 16-bit color depth, RGB and warm-white mixing, IP67 weather resistance, and more than 120 preset scenes. eufy announced a white-light range of 1,500K to 9,000K, cuttable and reconnectable strips, and support for Matter, Apple Home, Google, and Alexa.
| Length | Announced price | Typical planning question |
|---|---|---|
| 100 feet | $499.99 | Is the run long enough for the intended roofline? |
| 150 feet | $659.99 | Where will the extra length and controller be located? |
| 200 feet | $859.99 | Can the power route and connection points remain weather-protected? |
For construction or exterior-installation planning, the cut-and-reconnect design is useful only if every connection is properly weatherproofed. Plan the power route, controller access, slack at corners, drainage, and protection from standing water before attaching the lights. Radar performance also depends on sensor placement and obstructions. Decorative lighting, security illumination, and camera night lighting are related but different jobs; these lights should not be treated as a replacement for a professionally designed security-lighting system.
Matter support generally provides interoperability for supported controls, but it does not guarantee that every proprietary eufy security automation appears in every Matter controller. Basic lighting control may be available where advanced camera-triggered behavior is not. Check current app, firmware, and platform support for the exact configuration.
What AI Core adds
At IFA 2025, eufy announced AI Core as a hardware module intended to provide a local AI agent for home-security analysis. The announced compatibility list included eufy’s PoE NVR system, Expert Secure System, and HomeBase S380.

eufy claimed local processing and storage, analysis of more than 100 types of risks, alerts within three seconds, a range of up to 12 metres (39.3 feet) for certain responses, and accuracy of up to 95 percent. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent performance measurements. Detection will vary with camera placement, distance, lighting, glare, weather, occlusion, vegetation, and the complexity of the scene.
“Local AI” should also be read precisely. Local processing or local recording does not necessarily mean that no information ever leaves the home. Account services, push notifications, remote access, optional cloud functions, and support systems may still involve network services. Review the current Anker privacy policy and the settings for each enabled feature.
The 2025 announcement said pricing would be announced later and that full retail availability would follow. Do not assume that an announcement establishes current availability; verify the product’s retail status, supported hardware, and regional release before designing a system around AI Core.
eufy’s 2025 robot-vacuum direction
Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20
At CES 2025, eufy introduced the Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20 as a robot vacuum, stick vacuum, and handheld vacuum in one product. Its differentiator is flexibility: the motor and battery platform can be used for automated floor cleaning, spot cleaning, or handheld tasks.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThat design is not automatically a replacement for a dedicated full-size cordless vacuum. Before choosing it, consider whether the detachable unit offers the runtime, reach, dust capacity, and ergonomics needed for stairs, upholstery, vehicles, or high-traffic areas. Also consider whether the robot remains practical for the household’s daily floor-cleaning routine and whether the combined design complicates maintenance.
Best Value
- Easy Installation and Usability: Setup is simple and all devices come pre-configured to save you time and effort.
- Instant Alerts: Get notified as soon as motion or a breach is detected with the eufy Security app.
- Security in Seconds: Arm and disarm in seconds by keying in your password or directly from your phone via the eufy Security App.
- Massive Local* Storage: Secure footage with 32 GB built-in storage, expandable up to 16 TB—no monthly fees** required. Enjoy faster response times and complete data privacy with local processing.
Availability and pricing should be checked by market. A CES announcement demonstrates product intent, not immediate US retail availability.
Omni context: do not label every current model a 2025 launch
eufy’s current robot-vacuum catalog includes Omni-branded products such as the Omni S2, Omni C28, Omni C20, and Omni E28. These products help explain eufy’s broader cleaning strategy—automated vacuuming, mopping, and dock-based maintenance—but a current catalog listing does not prove that an individual model launched in 2025.
For current models, compare carpet and hard-floor performance, mopping requirements, thresholds, obstacle handling, dock dimensions, water-tank work, replacement bags, brushes, mop components, filters, and the accessibility of the dock. Routine maintenance still includes removing hair, cleaning sensors, managing water and dust, and keeping the dock clear. Use the specific model’s manual for maintenance intervals rather than applying one schedule to the entire Omni range. See eufy’s robot-vacuum catalog for current listings.
How the ecosystem actually fits together
The clearest integration is inside eufy Security:
- Cameras to HomeBase: supported cameras can use HomeBase hubs for storage and selected processing features.
- HomeBase to AI: HomeBase S380/HomeBase 3 is associated with local storage, BionicMind features, and selected cross-camera functions.
- Cameras to lights: Permanent Outdoor Lights S4 can respond to compatible camera detections and provide illumination or deterrence.
- Third-party platforms: the Lights S4 announcement includes Matter, Apple Home, Google, and Alexa support, but exact controls depend on the device, platform, firmware, and region.
- Robot vacuums: cleaning products form a parallel eufy product family. Do not assume that a robot vacuum becomes a security sensor or participates in the same HomeBase workflows.
In practical terms, eufy is best understood as a portfolio ecosystem with its strongest integration around security hubs—not as one fully interoperable smart-home operating system spanning cameras, lights, locks, and vacuums.
Compatibility checklist before buying
- Identify the hub. Record whether you already own HomeBase 2 or HomeBase S380/HomeBase 3.
- Check the exact model page. Confirm compatibility for the camera, hub, app, firmware, and country.
- Define storage needs. Determine whether local storage is supported, how much capacity is available, and whether the desired AI feature requires the newer hub.
- Confirm recording mode. Battery and solar cameras have different power and recording trade-offs from wired cameras. Do not assume 24/7 recording.
- Plan power and placement. Measure sunlight, sightlines, Wi-Fi coverage, electrical routes, sensor clearance, and weather exposure.
- Separate subscription claims from total cost. Local recording may avoid cloud-storage fees, but hardware, storage, accessories, replacement batteries, vacuum consumables, and optional monitoring can still cost money.
- Check platform limitations. Matter, Apple Home, Google, and Alexa support may expose basic controls without exposing every eufy-specific automation.
- Check replacement parts. For robot vacuums, confirm the availability and price of bags, filters, brushes, mop parts, and batteries.
Which 2025 eufy setup fits?
| Use case | Most relevant direction | Important caution |
|---|---|---|
| Apartment or small home | A suitable dual-camera model or E40 for an exterior entrance | Check whether a hub is needed for the preferred storage and AI features |
| Driveway and front door | S4 camera coverage, a doorbell, or a floodlight camera | Coverage and lighting may matter more than headline resolution |
| Large yard | S4 fixed-plus-PTZ coverage with compatible HomeBase hardware | Plan solar exposure, wireless reach, and overlapping fields of view |
| Existing HomeBase 2 owner | E40 may be the most straightforward expansion candidate | Advanced features may require HomeBase S380/HomeBase 3 |
| Existing HomeBase 3 owner | Supported dual-camera products, E40, or S4 | Verify current firmware and feature support rather than relying on the brand name |
| Decorative lighting buyer | Permanent Outdoor Lights S4 | Its security features do not remove the need for careful exterior installation |
| Hard-floor household wanting automated cleaning | An Omni vacuum-and-mop model | Dock, water, mop, and consumable maintenance remain part of ownership |
| Buyer wanting one cleaner for floors and spot jobs | Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20 | Assess whether the detachable handheld meets the needs of a dedicated cordless vacuum |
Who should look elsewhere?
eufy may be a poor fit if you want one deeply unified platform across security, lighting, locks, vacuums, and third-party devices; guaranteed professional monitoring; a broad PoE camera range; completely account-free operation; enterprise-grade surveillance administration; or the best robot vacuum regardless of wider ecosystem integration.
It is also a questionable choice for permanent outdoor lights if there is no suitable power route, or for solar cameras installed in heavily shaded locations. Buyers who primarily want automated vacuuming may be better served by comparing dedicated robot-vacuum ecosystems rather than treating eufy’s security products as a reason to choose a cleaner.
Alternatives by priority
- Reolink is worth comparing for wired, PoE, and local-NVR security systems.
- Arlo is relevant for a mature, subscription-oriented cloud-camera ecosystem.
- Ring is a natural comparison for Amazon households centered on doorbells.
- Roborock and Dreame are relevant when robot navigation, mopping, and dock automation matter more than security integration.
- Govee is a lighting-focused alternative with a stronger decorative-lighting emphasis.
Verdict
eufy’s 2025 ecosystem was most compelling where cameras, local processing, HomeBase 3, and outdoor lighting intersect. The E40 offered a practical solar-assisted outdoor option; the E42 targeted higher-detail monitoring and deterrence; the dual-camera family emphasized context plus detail; and the S4 pushed fixed coverage, PTZ tracking, solar power, and active deterrence into one camera system.
Permanent Outdoor Lights S4 extended that security strategy into exterior lighting, while the E20 represented a separate but interesting attempt to combine robot, stick, and handheld cleaning. The central buying rule remains simple: choose by hub compatibility, power, coverage, recording mode, storage, and installation constraints—not by resolution or the eufy name alone.
