Eufy Built a Robot to Take Your Robot Vacuum Upstairs—but MarsWalker Isn’t Widely Available Yet

Eufy MarsWalker is a carrier for robot vacuums—not a stair-climbing vacuum itself. Here is what Eufy demonstrated, what remains unconfirmed, and what to use instead.

Eufy did not teach its robot vacuum to climb stairs. It demonstrated a second robot, called MarsWalker, designed to carry a compatible robot vacuum between floors. The tracked carrier reportedly uses extendable arms and is intended to handle straight, L-shaped, and U-shaped staircases.

However, as of August 18, 2026, MarsWalker should be described as an announced or demonstrated product—not a widely available retail product. A confirmed U.S. price, current ordering page, and shipping status could not be verified on Eufy’s indexed U.S. product pages.

What is Eufy MarsWalker?

MarsWalker is a robotic carrier or platform for a robot vacuum. It is not a vacuum cleaner, mop, or replacement for the cleaning robot itself. Its purpose is to transport a compatible vacuum up or down a staircase so one machine can potentially clean several floors.

Eufy showed MarsWalker publicly around IFA 2025. Reporting at the time described a tracked drive system, extendable support arms, and communication with the vacuum to determine when a floor-cleaning task had finished. The initial reported compatibility target was Eufy’s Omni S2.

Eufy MarsWalker reporting and demonstration details

How MarsWalker is supposed to work

The intended workflow appears straightforward, although Eufy has not published enough final technical detail to confirm every step:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. The robot vacuum cleans one floor.
  2. When cleaning is complete—or when the system determines that the vacuum should move—the carrier approaches it or receives a transfer command.
  3. MarsWalker secures the vacuum on its platform using its support arms.
  4. Its tracked mechanism climbs the staircase.
  5. The carrier places the vacuum on the next floor.
  6. The vacuum resumes cleaning using its stored map or a floor-specific map.

In principle, MarsWalker could also return the vacuum downstairs. It is not yet clear whether every transfer is user-initiated, whether the carrier can locate a vacuum that has stopped away from its dock, or how closely the system integrates with the Eufy Clean app.

MarsWalker is not a stair-climbing vacuum

MarsWalker approach Integrated stair-climbing vacuum
A separate carrier transports a normal robot vacuum. The vacuum itself climbs the stairs.
The cleaning robot can retain its usual floor-cleaning design. The vacuum must include complex climbing hardware, sensors, and fall protection.
It may require a specific compatible model. It is a single integrated appliance, at least in principle.
The carrier has its own unknown purchase cost. The climbing mechanism is included in the vacuum’s price.
Moving the vacuum may not solve charging, emptying, or mop-maintenance needs upstairs. A special integrated system could still require separate docking infrastructure.

This distinction matters when comparing headlines with what the product actually does. MarsWalker does not make every ordinary robot vacuum independently capable of climbing a flight of stairs. It is a second robot whose job is to carry the first one.

Which robot vacuums does it support?

The announced or reported initial target was the Eufy RoboVac Omni S2. That does not establish compatibility with every Eufy model, and there is no verified evidence in the supplied sources that MarsWalker supports third-party vacuums from brands such as Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Narwal, or iRobot.

Compatibility with Eufy’s E25, E28, X10 Pro Omni, S1, or S1 Pro also remains unverified. A compatible vacuum would likely need the correct dimensions, weight, docking geometry, communications support, and physical attachment points. Those specifications have not been published in sufficient detail.

Do not buy an Omni S2 solely because MarsWalker was announced. Confirm that Eufy has officially listed the two products as compatible and that MarsWalker is available for your region.

Is Eufy MarsWalker available to buy?

A September 2025 report said Eufy planned a spring 2026 sale. That was an earlier release target, not proof that the product launched on schedule.

As of August 18, 2026, the reviewed Eufy U.S. robot-vacuum pages did not provide a MarsWalker retail listing, confirmed price, or shipping status. Eufy’s own January 27, 2026 guide to stair-climbing robot vacuums still tells owners to carry robot vacuums between floors manually or use separate vacuums. It also states that the S1 and S1 Pro cannot navigate stairs independently.

The most accurate status is therefore:

  • Shown publicly: around IFA 2025.
  • Previously reported plan: sale in spring 2026.
  • Confirmed current U.S. retail listing: not verified in the reviewed official pages as of August 18, 2026.
  • Price: not announced in the reviewed report.

Check Eufy’s current U.S. robot-vacuum listings before treating MarsWalker as purchasable.

How much does MarsWalker cost?

There is no verified MarsWalker price in the supplied reporting. An MSRP or package price should not be guessed.

For context only, the Omni S2 was reported at $1,599 when announced in 2025, while Eufy’s U.S. robot-vacuum page showed the S2 at $1,399.99 when observed. That page price is date-sensitive and may reflect a promotion. The cost of the carrier, installation requirements, accessories, or a complete multi-floor setup could not be confirmed.

What staircases can it handle?

Eufy was reported to claim support for straight, L-shaped, and U-shaped staircases. That is a manufacturer claim, not independent validation of real-world performance.

Important details remain unpublished, including:

  • Maximum and minimum stair width.
  • Maximum riser height, tread depth, and incline.
  • Clearance required beside walls and banisters.
  • How wide landings must be for 90-degree and 180-degree turns.
  • Whether spiral, wedge-shaped, or open-riser stairs are supported.
  • Performance on carpet, loose runners, tile, stone, metal, wet steps, or damaged surfaces.
  • Whether the carrier can recover safely after losing traction.

A staircase being straight, L-shaped, or U-shaped does not by itself prove that MarsWalker will fit or operate safely. Homeowners would need Eufy’s dimensional limits and installation guidance for their specific stairs.

The practical problems a demonstration does not answer

Payload and vacuum condition

Eufy has not published a verified maximum payload or confirmed whether the vacuum must be emptied before transport. It is also unclear whether water tanks need to be drained, whether mop pads can remain attached, and whether the carrier can move a vacuum carrying liquid.

Charging and dock logistics

Transporting the vacuum is only one part of hands-free multi-floor cleaning. A destination floor may still need a charging, dust-emptying, water-refilling, mop-washing, and mop-drying station. If the vacuum has one full-service dock on only one floor, MarsWalker may move the machine upstairs without providing complete autonomous maintenance there.

Safety and recovery

A failure on stairs could damage both robots. Before buying, prospective users should look for confirmed details about anti-tip protection, fall detection, emergency stops, attachment security, child and pet safety, manual recovery, and warranty coverage if the carrier or vacuum is damaged.

There is also no independent long-term testing in the supplied sources. Demonstration footage can show that a concept climbs a particular staircase; it does not establish reliability across different homes, surfaces, clutter levels, pets, or maintenance conditions.

What current Eufy vacuums can—and cannot—do on multiple floors

Some Eufy models support multiple floor maps. That helps a robot recognize different levels after a person moves it, but mapping is not stair climbing.

Eufy’s own guidance says the S1 and S1 Pro must be carried to another floor. The X10 Pro Omni can save multiple maps, but the user still has to relocate the vacuum between floors. Eufy also distinguishes threshold crossing from stair climbing: the S2 is described as crossing thresholds up to 1.65 inches, which does not mean it can climb a staircase.

Practical alternatives available now

1. Carry one multi-floor robot manually

If a robot supports multiple maps, manually move it between floors and select the appropriate map. This preserves the convenience of one vacuum while avoiding the cost and risk of an unproven stair carrier. The drawback is that the user still has to handle relocation and may need to manage charging and mopping manually.

  • Schedule Cleaning & Automatic Charging: V2 vacuum robot can run routine cleaning automatically based on preset schedule, it cleans up to 120 minutes on a single charge and automatically returns to the charging dock when the battery is low

2. Keep one robot on each floor

For the most dependable daily routine, assign a robot and dock to each level. This costs more hardware and duplicates consumables and maintenance, but it avoids stair failures and leaves each vacuum near its own charging and service station. Eufy itself presents separate vacuums as a practical multi-floor option.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

3. Use a stick, canister, or handheld vacuum for the stairs

A conventional vacuum remains the simplest solution for the steps themselves. It also handles stair edges, risers, banisters, and awkward corners that floor robots generally cannot reach.

4. Choose a robot with a detachable stair-cleaning component

Eufy’s Omni E28 includes a detachable portable deep cleaner intended for surfaces including stairs. It can address stair cleaning directly, but a person still operates the detachable cleaner, and it does not move the robot vacuum between floors.

5. Consider a less expensive second robot

Eufy’s X10 Pro Omni is an example of a lower-cost multi-floor alternative; the supplied Eufy page showed a promotional price of $479.99 when observed. It still requires manual carrying, and vacuum-only operation may be necessary on a floor without an Omni station.

Eufy’s U.S. store also showed replacement robot units compatible with specific E-series models at $437.99 when observed: E28-compatible robot and E25-compatible robot. These listings should not be treated as complete vacuum-and-dock packages without checking what is included.

Should you wait for MarsWalker?

Wait if your home has multiple floors, you already prefer the Eufy ecosystem, and you are comfortable postponing a purchase until Eufy confirms the price, compatible models, staircase limits, safety systems, and shipping availability.

Buy another solution now if you need reliable unattended cleaning, your stairs are narrow or unusual, you require mopping and automatic maintenance upstairs, or the cost of a second robot is lower than the unknown cost of a carrier-plus-vacuum system.

Most importantly, do not purchase a premium vacuum on the assumption that MarsWalker will automatically support it. Compatibility and availability need to be confirmed by Eufy for the exact model and region.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can MarsWalker carry any robot vacuum?

No confirmed universal compatibility has been published. The initially reported target was Eufy’s Omni S2; support for other Eufy models or third-party vacuums remains unverified.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Does MarsWalker clean stairs?

No. MarsWalker is a carrier intended to move a robot vacuum between floors. It is not itself a vacuum or mop.

Can a multi-floor map make a robot vacuum climb stairs?

No. Multi-floor mapping helps a vacuum recognize a floor after a person relocates it; it does not provide stair-climbing capability.
