According to the advisory, Westward Beach Road and Birdview Avenue are to remain open with traffic control, and the beach is to remain open. The access road is to remain open to pedestrians and cyclists. The notice does not announce a vehicle detour or provide an alternate-route recommendation.
Where will equipment operate, and how will traffic be managed?
Heavy equipment and rock-delivery trucks are scheduled to operate west of the Point Dume Beach access road, near Sunset Restaurant. Traffic-control personnel will direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic west of the construction zone and at the base of Birdview Avenue. Follow their directions and use caution when approaching the work area.
