The elio is a 750 ml (25.4 oz) silicone bottle that collapses in height for packing: the maker lists it at 22.4 cm tall when expanded and 3.25 cm tall when collapsed, with an 8 cm diameter in either form. That makes it a space-saving option for travel or everyday carry when empty, but it is not insulated by default. Specifications and performance statements below are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.
What the elio’s size means in a bag
According to the elio product page and its FAQ, the bottle holds 750 ml (25.4 oz), measures 22.4 cm high by 8 cm in diameter when expanded, and collapses to 3.25 cm high by 8 cm in diameter. The product page rounds the collapsed height to 3 cm. It reduces the bottle’s height substantially when empty, but it does not become narrower: allow for an 8 cm-wide footprint in a bag pocket or packed compartment.
The company lists the bottle’s weight as 160 g. The product page describes platinum silicone, while the Lumio elio page lists a silicone-coated aluminum frame shell and food-grade silicone. These are seller descriptions rather than independent material testing.
Folding, cleaning and everyday use
How to fold it
The manufacturer’s FAQ includes folding instructions. Follow the current instructions supplied with the bottle rather than forcing the silicone or frame into a fold. Its compact form is most useful when the bottle is empty; when expanded, check that its 8 cm diameter fits your intended bag pocket or holder.

Cleaning and fit
The company says the bottle is dishwasher safe and designed to fit most cup holders and bike bottle cages. Those are manufacturer claims, not verified fit or cleaning tests; check the current care instructions and measure your holder if fit is important.
Is the elio insulated or leak-proof?
The manufacturer says the bottle is not insulated by default. Its FAQ says cold drinks may stay cold for up to six hours in moderate conditions; that is a conditional company claim, not an insulation test or a promise for every drink, temperature, or setting. If keeping drinks cold or hot is a priority, compare bottles on published insulation performance rather than treating the elio as an insulated bottle.

- 100% LEAK-PROOF: The innovative retracting straw technology ensures you can toss your tumbler in your bag worry-free.
- HIDE A STRAW TECHNOLOGY: With a quick turn of the lid dial, the straw tucks neatly away, making the lid leak-proof and keeping the drinking surface clean when not in use.
- CUP HOLDER FRIENDLY: The sleek, tapered design fits perfectly in most cup holders, making it ideal for on-the-go hydration.
- KEEPS COLD FOR HOURS: Keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours, so your favorite beverages are always at the perfect temperature.
- DISHWASHER SAFE: Designed for convenience, the Oasis Tumbler is both BPA-free and top-rack dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
The FAQ addresses whether the bottle is leak-proof, but the specifications summarized here do not establish independently tested leak performance. Check the current manufacturer guidance on closure and carrying, and avoid assuming it is suitable for loose packing until you have confirmed the instructions for your bottle.
Accessories, price and purchase terms
The official collection page lists the bottle, cap and handle as separate purchase options. When checked for this article, it displayed $48 for the bottle and $16 for the cap/handle offering; prices and availability can change. The FAQ says the silicone handle is interchangeable and replacement handles can be purchased as add-ons.

Who should consider this collapsible bottle?
The elio is a plausible choice if you want a 750 ml bottle that occupies less height when empty and are comfortable with silicone construction and no default insulation. Before choosing it over a rigid or insulated bottle, compare packed height and width, capacity, weight, cleaning instructions, closure performance, temperature retention, replacement parts, warranty, price and delivery timing. No independent comparative test establishes how it performs against competing bottles.
