The right choice depends on your usual batch size, whether you want selectable temperatures or simply a full boil, and how you prefer to clean the basket. Manufacturer specifications offer useful examples, but they do not establish which kettle makes the best-tasting tea or lasts longest.
What is an electric kettle with a tea infuser?
It is a kettle with a basket that holds tea leaves inside the vessel while the water heats or after it reaches the desired temperature. Chefman describes its removable stainless-steel basket as a way to boil water and steep loose-leaf or bagged tea in the same pot. Because the basket can be removed, you can take it out before serving and clean it separately.
The feature combines two steps, but it does not by itself tell you how the tea will taste. The manufacturer information here does not compare extraction or taste between kettles.
How to choose the right features for your routine
Choose capacity based on your usual batch
Capacity determines how much tea you can prepare in one go. The examples below range from 1.2 L to 1.7 L. Think about whether you usually make one mug or several servings, and check the exact model’s listed capacity and accessories before buying.

Decide whether you need temperature control
A full-boil kettle is straightforward if you are happy to heat water to boiling and let it cool as needed. Chefman’s guidance suggests letting boiled water cool slightly for delicate green, white, or oolong teas, or choosing a temperature-control model instead. Its temperature guide recommends around 170–180°F for green tea; treat this as the manufacturer’s guidance rather than a universal rule.
Variable-temperature controls can make it easier to select a lower setting directly. Tefal’s BJ750D10 lists five choices: 70, 80, 85, 90, and 100 °C. Chefman notes that presets and keep-warm functions may be available on its temperature-control models, but features vary by model.

Check the infuser and care instructions
Confirm that the kettle includes an infuser and whether it can be removed. Cleaning directions differ: Chefman says to hand-wash the kettle body and infuser and keep the electrical base out of water. Tefal says the BJ750D10’s brewing basket is dishwasher-safe, but the kettle is not. Tefal’s FAQ states, “The brewing basket could be cleaned in the dishwasher.” That guidance applies to the basket only; follow the care instructions for the specific kettle you own.
Descaling advice is also model-specific. Chefman suggests a monthly 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar for hard water. Do not assume that method applies to another brand; use the descaling method in your kettle’s manual.

For any model, verify the current listing for your market and revision: manufacturers may change specifications, accessories, and availability. Select by the capacity and controls you will actually use, not by an assumed category-wide performance advantage.

What safety features should you check?
Do not assume every infuser kettle includes the same safeguards. Chefman lists automatic shutoff, boil-dry protection, and cETL approval for the RJ11-12-TI. GoveeLife describes automatic shutoff and boil-dry protection for the H717A. Check the exact model’s documentation for its safety features and follow its operating instructions.
