Dyson’s Find+Follow Purifier Cool is more than a new version of the company’s TP07. Its headline feature is a 17-point AI system that detects occupants and directs purified cooling air toward them. Dyson also claims improved nitrogen dioxide filtration, a fully sealed HEPA H13-standard system, and quieter Night mode operation.
The important qualification is that the new model’s biggest practical improvement appears to be personal airflow and automation—not a dramatic increase in whole-room cleaning speed. Independent testing found purification performance close to that of the older TP07, so the premium makes the most sense for buyers who want a fan and purifier combined.

Which Dyson Purifier Cool is new?
The product announced in the United States on May 13, 2026, is the Dyson Find+Follow Purifier Cool. Dyson’s U.S. product pages identify the range with model numbers including PC3, while independent coverage also refers to a PC1. Regional names, colors, and model numbers can differ, so check the exact U.S. product page and label before buying.
Dyson announced the new purifier at $894.99. Its official product page showed a PC3 price of $689.99, reduced from $849.99, when crawled. That is a dated promotional price, not a guaranteed current price.
What changed?
- Find+Follow airflow: 17-point AI user detection directs cooling air toward a detected person and can adjust when that person moves.
- Advanced K-Carbon filtration: Dyson claims 50% more nitrogen dioxide capture than its regular activated-carbon performance under the company’s TM-003387 test method.
- Sealed filtration: Dyson describes the system as fully sealed to the HEPA H13 standard.
- Quieter Night mode: Dyson says Night mode is 50% quieter than maximum fan speed.
- Air-quality monitoring: The product is designed to monitor pollutants including PM2.5, PM10, VOCs, nitrogen dioxide, and formaldehyde, although exact sensor availability should be confirmed for the U.S. model.
Find+Follow is mainly an airflow upgrade
A conventional tower purifier can project air forward or oscillate on a fixed pattern. Find+Follow instead attempts to identify where people are positioned and direct purified cooling air toward them. Dyson says it can share airflow between multiple people and stop oscillating when no occupant is detected.

That may be useful if you move between a desk, sofa, and bed. It can put the breeze where you feel it rather than wasting oscillation toward an empty part of the room. But directed airflow should not be confused with faster air purification. A stronger breeze on your skin does not prove that the appliance delivers more clean air to the entire room.
The system can be used as a comfort feature, while conventional fan operation remains available when tracking is unnecessary. Buyers should confirm the exact offline and tracking controls in the current U.S. manual.
Filtration: what Dyson’s claims mean
Particle filtration
Dyson says the purifier captures 99.97% of ultrafine particles as small as 0.3 microns and uses a fully sealed HEPA H13-standard filtration system. This is a filtration-efficiency claim under specified test conditions. It does not, by itself, say how quickly the device cleans a particular occupied room.
Real-world performance also depends on room size, fan speed, filter loading, pollutant concentration, air leakage, and how much clean air the machine moves. A useful comparison should include a directly comparable CADR—preferably smoke CADR—rather than relying only on a particle-capture percentage.

- The fully sealed filter system combines an Activated carbon filter to remove gases with a HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of microscopic allergens² and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns.¹
- The whole purifier, not just the filtration system, is fully sealed to HEPA H13 grade – so what goes inside, stays inside.³
- Dyson Air Multiplier technology projects over 76 gallons per second of smooth, yet powerful airflow⁷ to cool you in summer,⁶ and heat a whole room evenly in winter.⁴
- Captures 97% of odors such as cooking odors, pet odors and smoke.⁸
- Control and monitor air quality from anywhere using the MyDyson app, or hands-free with compatible voice services.⁵
Gas, odor, and NO2 filtration
The new model’s principal filtration claim concerns its Advanced K-Carbon filter. Dyson says it captures 50% more nitrogen dioxide than its regular activated-carbon performance under the company’s TM-003387 test.
That does not mean the purifier removes 50% of all indoor pollution or makes a room 50% cleaner. The result is pollutant-specific and depends on concentration, airflow, fan speed, filter condition, and the amount of carbon media available. Carbon filtration is the part intended to address gases, odors, and some volatile organic compounds; HEPA filtration is primarily for particles.
Carbon media also becomes less effective as it loads up, making replacement-filter cost and availability important ownership considerations.
Is it better than the Dyson TP07?
| Feature | Find+Follow Purifier Cool | Purifier Cool TP07 |
|---|---|---|
| Main advantage | Occupant-tracking airflow and premium automation | Dyson purification and cooling airflow at a potentially lower price |
| Particle filtration | Dyson claims a sealed HEPA H13-standard system | Earlier advanced HEPA design |
| Gas filtration | Advanced K-Carbon; Dyson claims 50% more NO2 capture than regular activated carbon | HEPA plus carbon filtration |
| Occupant tracking | Yes, with 17-point detection | No |
| Airflow | Automatically directs air toward detected occupants | Conventional projection and oscillation |
| Value proposition | Personal comfort, automation, and design | Lower-cost route to Dyson’s tower format |
RTINGS’ comparison reported nearly identical air-purification performance between the TP07 and Find+Follow. That makes the new model’s strongest distinction its tracking and airflow system rather than a clearly demonstrated step-change in room-cleaning ability.
RTINGS’ separate testing judged the PC1 slightly better as an air purifier while identifying Find+Follow’s tracking as its main advantage for cooling-focused users. TechRadar praised the engineering and smart features, while T3 noted strong airflow but questioned whether the real-world noise experience matched the headline claims. Tom’s Guide concluded that the premium is easiest to justify for buyers who want a purifier and fan in one appliance or already use Dyson’s app ecosystem.
It is a fan, not an air conditioner
The Purifier Cool can make a person feel cooler by moving air across the skin. It does not refrigerate the room, remove heat like an air conditioner, or control indoor temperature in the same way.
Rank #3
- Advanced air purification automatically captures 50% more NO₂.⁸
- Fully sealed, 3-stage HEPA H13 grade filtration captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.³
- Removes odors and gases,¹ and continuously destroys formaldehyde.⁹
- Dyson Air Multiplier technology projects over 76 gallons per second of smooth, yet powerful airflow⁷ to cool you in summer.⁶
- Control and monitor air quality from anywhere using the MyDyson app, or hands-free with compatible voice services.⁵
That distinction matters in hot or humid climates. The Dyson may supplement air conditioning with filtration and personal airflow, but it cannot replace an AC during a heat wave.
Ownership and connected features
The MyDyson app provides connected control and air-quality monitoring. Connected features require wireless connectivity, Bluetooth, and a compatible mobile device. App requirements and supported operating-system versions can change, so check the current U.S. requirements rather than relying on launch documentation.

Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Without a reliable Wi-Fi connection, users may lose app-based monitoring or remote automation. The physical purifier and fan should remain useful, but exact remote-control, tracking, and automatic-mode behavior without an account or internet connection should be confirmed in the U.S. manual.
The tracking feature also raises a reasonable privacy question. Buyers should review Dyson’s current U.S. privacy documentation to understand what the device detects, what is processed locally, what may be transmitted, and whether tracking can be disabled. Do not assume that an AI detection system has no privacy implications simply because it is designed to identify occupants rather than recognize individuals.
Filter replacement and running costs
Do not automatically apply the TP09’s replacement schedule or filter price to the Find+Follow PC3. Dyson’s TP09 documentation says its HEPA-and-carbon filter should be replaced when alerted by the MyDyson app or every 12 months, but the exact interval and replacement cost for the new U.S. model should be checked on the PC3 replacement-filter page.
The total cost of ownership includes the purchase price, replacement filters, electricity, and the opportunity cost of buying a separate fan. A discounted Dyson may be easier to justify for someone who would otherwise buy both appliances. It is harder to justify if the user already owns an effective fan.

- Automatically senses, captures, and traps pollutants for cleaner air.
- Multifunctional. Intelligently purifies, heats, and cools you.²
- Fully sealed to HEPA H13 standard. It's not just the filter that's fully sealed, it's the whole machine. So what goes inside stays inside.⁴
- Air Multiplier technology generates the circulation power to draw distant pollutants into the machine, projecting purified air throughout the whole room.¹
- Automatically senses and reacts to changes in air quality, then reports pollution in real time on LCD screen and on the MyDyson app.³
Who should buy it?
- Buy it if you want one premium appliance to provide filtration and cooling airflow. Find+Follow is especially relevant for people who move between several seating or sleeping positions.
- Buy it if smart automation and design matter. App control, pollutant monitoring, automatic operation, and Dyson’s tower form factor are central to the value proposition.
- Consider it for city odors or traffic pollution, but treat the 50% NO2 figure as Dyson’s test-based, pollutant-specific claim—not a universal guarantee.
- Consider the TP07 if it is substantially cheaper. It provides Dyson’s tower-style purification and cooling without paying primarily for occupant tracking.
Who should skip it?
- Shoppers seeking the most clean-air delivery per dollar.
- People who already have a good fan or air conditioner.
- Buyers who need genuine temperature control.
- Large-room users who require clearly documented CADR and rapid air changes.
- Privacy-sensitive users who have no interest in occupant tracking or connected features.
- Anyone unwilling to budget for replacement filters.
A verified conventional alternative
Blueair Blue Pure 211i Max
The Blueair Blue Pure 211i Max is a more conventional purifier aimed at large rooms and open layouts. Its U.S. price was observed at $349.99, with another official page showing a temporary $244.99 promotion. Blueair claims cleaning figures of 674 square feet in 12.5 minutes, 1,618 square feet in 30 minutes, and 3,235 square feet in one hour.
Its features include app connectivity, automatic fan adjustment, a 360-degree intake, and HEPASilent filtration. The standard particle-and-carbon replacement filter was listed at $69.99, with specialty filters and subscription options also available.
These room-cleaning figures should not be compared directly with Dyson’s airflow claims without confirming that the test methods, room assumptions, fan speeds, and performance standards are equivalent. The Blueair does not provide Dyson’s cooling-fan format or Find+Follow occupant tracking, but it is the clearer choice when conventional air cleaning and purchase price matter more than personal airflow.
Final buying advice
The Dyson Find+Follow Purifier Cool is best understood as a premium fan-plus-purifier whose standout innovation is directing airflow toward people. Its upgraded K-Carbon filtration and sealed HEPA H13-standard design are meaningful additions, but Dyson’s laboratory claims should not be mistaken for proof that it cleans rooms dramatically faster than the TP07.
Choose the Find+Follow when tracking airflow, app control, design, and combined fan-and-purifier convenience justify the premium. Choose a discounted TP07 when those features are unnecessary. Choose a conventional high-CADR purifier—such as the Blueair 211i Max—when the priority is large-room cleaning performance and value per dollar.
