Verdict: the widely reported “40% off” Dyson V11 deal is historical, not a currently verified Amazon offer. The strongest recent examples were $349.99 for the V11 Origin in 2024—about 39.7% below $579.99—and $399.99 in 2025—about 36.5% below $629.99. As of September 14, 2026, Dyson’s U.S. V11 page lists the vacuum at $629.99 but out of stock, while Dyson says its 2026 Black Friday offers have not yet been revealed. Check the exact Amazon listing before treating any V11 price as live.
The Dyson V11 remains a capable cordless vacuum, but the model is old enough that the discount alone does not determine whether it is a good buy. The exact variant, accessory bundle, battery condition, seller and warranty matter just as much as the percentage shown by Amazon.

Is the Dyson V11 40% off at Amazon now?
There is no verified current Amazon deal supporting that claim. The headline appears to combine two earlier Black Friday promotions:
- 2024: the Dyson V11 Origin was reported at $349.99, down from $579.99—approximately 39.7% off.
- 2025: the V11 was reported at $399.99, down from $629.99—approximately 36.5% off, often rounded to 40%.
Those prices are useful benchmarks, not proof of current availability. Dyson’s current U.S. V11 page showed a $629.99 price and an out-of-stock status in the available research. Dyson’s official Black Friday page says 2026 offers have not yet been revealed; Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026.

“Amazon clears stock” is also not established fact. The heavy discounting and age of the product may suggest stock reduction, but neither Amazon nor Dyson has been cited confirming a clearance program.
How to verify the deal before purchasing
Open the exact Amazon product page—not just a search result such as Amazon’s V11 Origin search—and record these details:

Do not assume that two listings called “Dyson V11” contain the same equipment. Dyson’s current standard V11 description includes a Motorbar cleaner head, Hair screw tool, crevice tool, combination tool, docking station and charger. V11 Extra packages can contain a larger accessory set.
What does “40% off” actually mean?
Recalculate the saving against the stated reference price:

discount percentage = (reference price - sale price) / reference price × 100A $399.99 price against $629.99 equals approximately 36.5% off. A $349.99 price against $579.99 equals approximately 39.7% off. These are different claims from “40% below the recent Amazon price” or “40% off Dyson’s current price.” Always identify the baseline and whether the figure is rounded or supplied by the retailer.
What you get with the Dyson V11
According to Dyson, the V11 offers:
- Up to 60 minutes of runtime under stated test conditions.
- Three cleaning modes: Eco, Auto/Medium and Boost.
- An LCD screen showing runtime information and maintenance alerts.
- A Motorbar head with hair-detangling vanes on applicable bundles.
- Handheld conversion for furniture, stairs and car cleaning.
- A claimed filtration performance of 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns under specified conditions.
- A listed weight of approximately 6.59 pounds and a 0.2-gallon bin on Dyson’s current U.S. shop page.
The 60-minute figure is a maximum, not a whole-home guarantee. Dyson says runtime varies with power mode, floor type, dust level and attachment. Boost mode uses the battery much faster, so buyers should judge the vacuum by the cleaning session they need rather than the headline number.
The drawbacks that make the discount important
Battery runtime and age
The V11’s battery is a central long-term cost. Older inventory may have a battery that has spent more time in storage, while renewed or marketplace units can have uncertain battery history. “New” should not be treated as a battery-health guarantee unless the seller or manufacturer says so. Check replacement-battery availability and cost before buying.
Long charging time
Dyson technical documentation for relevant V11 configurations lists charging at approximately 4.5 hours. A single-battery V11 may therefore be inconvenient in a large home if it runs out during cleaning.

Weight
At roughly 6.6 pounds, the V11 is heavier than slimmer cordless models. That can be noticeable during overhead cleaning, stairs or long sessions.
Bundle variation
A low-priced V11 with only a basic floor head may be worse value than a slightly more expensive version with the Hair screw tool, soft roller head, dock or an additional battery. For hard floors, verify whether a soft roller is included. For pets, verify the actual motorized hair-cleaning attachment rather than relying on a general pet-hair claim.

The V11 does not offer every feature associated with newer Dyson Detect models. Buyers seeking newer dust-sensing technology, a slimmer design or the latest display and detection features should compare the deal with the V12 Detect Slim or V15 Detect.

- Around $350 new: excellent value if the bundle is complete and the warranty is clear.
- Around $400 new: a good deal, particularly with the Motorbar, Hair screw tool, dock and charger included.
- Near $500 or more: questionable, because newer Dyson options become more competitive.
- Any price with an unclear seller, missing battery details or weak warranty: skip it.
The V11 makes the most sense for mixed-floor homes, pet owners who receive the appropriate motorized tool, and buyers who want a premium cordless vacuum without paying flagship pricing. It is less attractive for shoppers who need a lightweight vacuum, automatic emptying, newer sensor features or long uninterrupted cleaning sessions.

The Dyson V11 is a sensible buy at roughly $350 new and still defensible around $400, provided the exact bundle, seller and warranty check out. The “40% off” claim should be treated as historical or rounded: the documented 2024 deal was nearly 40%, while the documented 2025 deal was about 36.5%.
Until an Amazon listing is checked for price, model, condition and stock, do not present this as a live Black Friday 2026 deal. If a V11 appears near $400, compare it directly with the V12 Detect Slim rather than judging the purchase by the discount percentage alone.
