Dreame’s X60 robot vacuum generation is now official and available in the United States. The U.S. lineup centers on two flagship robot vacuum-and-mop systems: the X60 Ultra and the X60 Max Ultra Complete. Both have a claimed 3.13-inch height, 35,000Pa suction, retractable LiDAR navigation, AI-assisted obstacle recognition, threshold-climbing hardware and dock-based hot-water mop washing.
The Max model adds chassis lifting, multispectral dirt detection and a more advanced dual-solution system. Those upgrades may be useful in homes with pets, difficult floor transitions or heavier cleaning demands, but the standard X60 Ultra shares most of the headline specifications and may be the better value for simpler homes.

“X60 Series” refers to Dreame’s latest flagship robot vacuum-and-mop platform. On Dreame’s U.S. website, the relevant models are the X60 Ultra and X60 Max Ultra Complete. Names, bundles, accessories and availability can differ by country, so U.S. shoppers should use Dreame’s American product pages rather than assuming that every international X60 package is identical.
The X60 Max Ultra Complete was unveiled at CES 2026, and Dreame announced its general U.S. availability on February 11, 2026. The launch is therefore no longer just a preview: both U.S. models are listed for purchase.

What is new compared with the X50 Ultra?
A thinner body and retractable LiDAR
The X60 robots measure 3.13 inches (7.95cm) with their navigation sensor retracted, compared with 3.5 inches (8.9cm) for the X50 Ultra. Dreame’s VersaLift DToF/LDS system lowers the navigation turret beneath low furniture, then raises it when more clearance is available.
This could matter in rooms with low sofas, beds and cabinets. Measure the actual clearance—including furniture lips, upholstery sag and internal obstructions—before buying. A robot may fit under a cabinet but still lack room to turn, clean its edges or find a route back out. The dock also needs its own unobstructed space.
Higher headline suction
Dreame advertises up to 35,000Pa of Vormax suction for both X60 models, compared with 20,000Pa for the X50 Ultra. The robots also use the HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush 2.0, which Dreame says combines counter-rotating brush components and thicker rubber strips to reduce hair wrapping.
Pa is a manufacturer specification, not a standardized cross-brand test. Real pickup depends on airflow, brush design, floor sealing, debris type, carpet pile, cleaning patterns and software. The 35,000Pa figure should not by itself be treated as proof that an X60 will outperform every competing robot. Pet owners should look for independent hair-removal, carpet-pickup and edge-cleaning results as well.
More obstacle recognition and proactive lighting
Dreame says the X60 system can recognize more than 280 object types, compared with 200 listed for the X50 Ultra. Two AI cameras, lateral 3D structured light and an integrated light are intended to improve detection in dark areas.

- 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞: Pressing with 15N force and spinning at 230RPM, the dual omni-scrub mop pads work with 104°F (40°C) hot water to deeply clean uneven floors and remove stubborn grease
That is useful technology, not a guarantee of perfect avoidance. Transparent objects, reflective surfaces, dark items, cables lying flat, small toys, clutter and pet accidents can still challenge camera-based systems. Owners should continue to clear dangerous or valuable objects from the floor.
Higher claimed threshold clearance
The X60 uses dual retractable legs and a swing-arm motor. Dreame lists clearance of up to 3.47 inches (8.8cm) for a double-layer threshold and up to 1.77 inches (4.5cm) for a single-layer vertical step. The product page also describes a design rated for 30,000 cycles.
Those are maximum manufacturer claims, not a promise that every 3.47-inch transition will work. Results depend on the threshold’s height, horizontal depth, shape, friction, approach angle and the surfaces on both sides. A broad beveled transition is not equivalent to a narrow, slippery vertical lip. Measure both the height and depth of your thresholds, and treat the specification as a starting point rather than a guarantee.
Independent launch coverage also identifies threshold handling as a major X60 differentiator while noting that headline clearance figures need practical context.

Thermal rotating mops
Both models use dual rotating mop pads. Dreame lists up to 230RPM rotation, up to 15N of downforce, approximately 104°F (40°C) hot-water mopping, mop extension toward edges and corners, automatic mop removal and lifting, and thermal mop pads.
The X60 dock can wash the pads with water up to 212°F (100°C), then dry them with hot air. That distinction matters: 212°F refers to dock mop washing, while Dreame lists about 104°F for water used during floor mopping. It does not mean the robot applies boiling water to the floor.

Rotating pads, pressure and heated washing may help with dried-on dirt, grease and odors. They do not make the system maintenance-free or justify an automatic sterilization claim. Owners still need to inspect the pads, clean the dock and deal with unusually sticky spills.
Faster charging and battery protection
Dreame lists a 6,400mAh battery and approximately 80-minute charging time. The system also offers charge-cutoff settings from 80% to 100% for battery-health management. Actual charging and runtime will vary with cleaning mode, floor type, navigation, mop use and battery condition.
What separates the X60 Ultra from the Max?
The two robots share the central X60 platform: low-clearance navigation, claimed suction, object recognition, threshold hardware, rotating mops, battery capacity and hot-water dock washing. The Max’s premium is mainly for its additional sensing and dock mechanisms.
X60 Max Ultra Complete advantages
- Chassis lifting: the robot can raise its chassis to help manage certain floor transitions and surfaces.
- Pressure chamber: Dreame lists an additional pressure-chamber feature in the Max specification set.
- Dual cleaning solutions: the Max supports a dual-solution setup, including a pet-odor solution.
- Multispectral dirt detection: this is listed for the Max but not the standard X60 Ultra.
These additions may appeal to pet owners, larger homes and buyers who want the most automated dock and sensing package. They do not automatically mean that the Max cleans better in every situation: many of the main cleaning specifications are shared.
What the X60 features mean in an actual home
Low furniture
The retracted 3.13-inch height is one of the clearest reasons to consider the X60. It may reach dust beneath furniture that blocks taller LiDAR robots. Check clearance along the entire route, not just at the front edge, and remember that the robot must still turn and return to open floor.
Uneven thresholds
The X60 is unusually focused on transitions between rooms, but the advertised maximum is geometry-dependent. Rugs, moisture, dust and poor approach angles can reduce traction. If a threshold is essential to your cleaning plan, consider a small transition ramp rather than relying entirely on a maximum specification.
Pets and hair
The anti-tangle brush design and automated dust collection could reduce routine hair removal. They cannot guarantee that no hair will wrap around a brush or clog a passage. Pet owners should also consider whether the robot can safely identify accidents and small toys before allowing it to run unattended.

Stains and mopping
Downforce, rotating pads and warm floor-mopping water are promising for everyday marks. The dock’s hotter wash cycle and heated drying may help keep pads fresher between runs. However, dried or sticky contamination can still require manual cleaning, and the dock itself needs attention.
Privacy
The X60’s cameras and connected app create a privacy consideration that is easy to overlook. Dreame describes multifactor authentication and encrypted data transfer on its product page, but those statements are not the same as an independent privacy or cybersecurity audit. Before purchase, review current app permissions, account-security settings, cloud-processing disclosures and policies for your region.
Dock maintenance: “hands-free” is relative
The dock automates much of the routine work. Listed functions include dust emptying, automatic water refilling, used-water collection, hot-water mop washing, hot-air drying, cleaning-solution addition and washboard self-cleaning.

Dreame lists a 3.2-liter dust bag, a 4.2-liter clean-water tank and a 3.0-liter used-water tank. Depending on home size, debris, pets and cleaning frequency, owners will still need to:
- Refill the clean-water tank or maintain a connected water setup where supported.
- Empty the used-water tank.
- Replace dust bags and filters.
- Clean sensors, brushes, mop pads and dock surfaces.
- Add or replace cleaning solution correctly.
- Clear hair, clogs and dried residue.
- Keep the robot’s route and dock approach clear.
Dreame recommends replacing the X60 dust-box filter every three to six months. The replacement filter was listed at $25.99 when checked, but consumable prices can change. Include dust bags, filters, mop pads and cleaning solution in the long-term ownership cost—not just the purchase price.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Independent testing and important caveats
Reviews generally describe the X60 Max as powerful and feature-rich, but they do not establish that the robot is the universal best choice. Tom’s Guide, Vacuum Wars and Android Authority discuss strengths and trade-offs involving cleaning, navigation, mopping and maintenance. Coverage points to areas where competitors may have advantages, including edge cleaning, carpet pickup or reduced user intervention.
Keep the following distinctions in mind:
- 35,000Pa, 230RPM, 15N and 80-minute charging are Dreame specifications, not directly comparable laboratory measurements across brands.
- More than 280 recognized object types does not mean perfect object avoidance.
- Up to 3.47-inch threshold clearance does not guarantee every threshold of that height.
- Claims such as faster navigation, complete hair removal or grease elimination should be treated as marketing claims unless supported by a specific independent test.
- The Max’s higher price does not prove superior results on every floor type.

Who should buy the X60 Ultra?
Choose the standard X60 Ultra when your main goals are:
- Cleaning beneath low furniture.
- Handling multiple thresholds or uneven transitions.
- Getting Dreame’s flagship suction, navigation and mop-washing platform.
- Reducing the entry price without needing Max-only features.
It is the more logical choice when the home is relatively uncluttered and the added sensing and solution features of the Max would rarely matter.
Who should buy the X60 Max Ultra Complete?
Pay more for the Max when chassis lifting, multispectral dirt detection, dual cleaning solutions or pet-odor support directly address your home’s problems. It is also aimed at buyers who want the fullest X60 dock and are comfortable paying flagship prices for more automation.
Do not choose it solely because it is the more expensive model. If both robots fit your furniture, cross your thresholds and meet your cleaning needs, the shared core specifications make the standard X60 Ultra a potentially stronger value.
Should you consider an older Dreame or another flagship?
The Dreame X50 Ultra may make sense if it is heavily discounted and your home does not require the X60’s lower body, higher claimed threshold clearance or newer feature set. A promotional X50 price should be checked at the time of purchase rather than treated as permanent.
Competing flagships such as the Roborock Saros 20 and Narwal Flow 2 are also relevant. Their strengths may differ in edge cleaning, dry-debris pickup, mopping and how much interaction they require. For a direct comparison, consult current independent testing such as RTINGS’ Saros 20 versus X60 comparison, and prioritize the category that matters most in your home.
Verdict
The Dreame X60 generation is a substantial feature-focused flagship update, especially for homes with low-clearance furniture and difficult floor transitions. The X60 Ultra supplies the core platform at a lower price, while the X60 Max Ultra Complete is aimed at buyers who will genuinely benefit from chassis lifting, more advanced dirt detection and dual cleaning-solution support.
