Dollar Tree’s Halloween page covers decorations, crafts, candy and other seasonal supplies, but it does not provide an itemized 2026 decoration catalog with matched prices. The retailer says prices and availability can vary between stores and online, so check the local shelf tag rather than assuming an item costs $1.25. Dollar Tree’s Halloween page is a useful starting point, not a guarantee of what a particular store has.

Dollar Tree still has a $1.25 price point, but its assortment is multi-price. In its fiscal 2025 Form 10-K, filed March 16, 2026, the company said 85% of products in the average store were priced at $2 or less as of Jan. 31, 2026. That is a storewide figure, not a promise that Halloween decorations cost $2 or less. Dollar Tree’s fiscal 2025 Form 10-K also describes seasonal merchandise and the expansion of multi-price offerings.

Target’s Aug. 12, 2026 announcement describes a broader documented mix, including playful Hyde & EEK! Boutique pieces and more design-oriented Threshold decor. Named examples include ceramic and terra-cotta figures, a lighted ghost cloche, a lit pumpkin, glass pumpkins, rattan decor, haunted-village pieces and a 60-inch poseable skeleton. Target said nearly 70% of its 2026 Halloween collection was new, about 60% was exclusive to Target, and 60% of its decor was under $10. How to compare value fairly
A low sticker price does not tell the whole story. Compare like with like, especially when one product is a multi-piece set and another is a single figurine.

- Size and placement: Distinguish tabletop accents from wall, door, yard or full-size statement decor.
- Materials and finish: Use the product label or listing; appearance alone does not establish durability.
- Lighting and use: Verify power source, battery inclusion and indoor or outdoor rating before buying.
- Availability: Check the specific store or delivery area. Dollar Tree says its prices and availability vary by store and online; Target listings can change too.
There is no controlled comparison here establishing that one retailer’s decorations last longer or use better materials. Treat style as a preference: Target’s named brands and collection support a more documented mix of playful and design-led pieces, but that does not make its decor objectively better.
A practical shopping decision
- Start with the job. If you need simple fillers, craft materials or party basics, check Dollar Tree’s seasonal aisle and confirm the local price and stock.
- Go to Target for a defined piece. If you want a particular listed accent, lighted decoration or larger prop, compare the current price with your budget and confirm availability.
- Match the item before comparing stores. Compare similar types and approximate sizes, then account for piece count, material and power requirements.
Without a local item-by-item check, there is no defensible basket-price comparison between the retailers. The useful choice depends on the specific decorations you can actually buy nearby.
