The Construction-Grade Concrete Truck is a WOOD Magazine plan for building a solid-wood model concrete mixer truck—not a full-size vehicle or a ready-made toy. The design includes a turned drum, with a modification for building a straight truck instead. WOOD originally featured it in Issue 224, March 2014; its project page was updated January 11, 2024. What the plan builds
The plan is for a wooden truck with a mixer drum. WOOD describes the drum as a chance to try basic turning, so the mixer version involves more than assembling a box-shaped body. If you prefer to skip that feature, the plan includes a modification for a straight-truck version.
This is a woodworking project intended to be made from materials and assembled by the builder. The plan is distinct from the project kits listed by the publisher.
Choose a concrete truck or straight truck

Plan-only purchase or project kit?
WOOD Store lists the downloadable plan separately from project-kit options. The standard concrete-truck kit contains specialty parts and hardware; a kit-plus-turned-drum option adds the turned drum, and a separate kit is offered for the straight-truck version. WOOD Store says lumber is not included in the project kit. Check the WOOD Store listing for current options and availability.

Dimensions, materials, and hardware to verify
A third-party reproduction of the WOOD instructions lists finished dimensions of 18 13/16 inches long by 6 5/8 inches high by 6 inches wide, and describes maple and walnut stock plus 10-32 threaded rod. These are useful orientation details, not a substitute for the licensed instructions: verify dimensions, materials, hardware, and procedures against the plan you obtain.
