Ninja’s French Door Premier Air Fryer, Convection Oven and Toaster (FO101) can replace a toaster, toaster oven and separate basket air fryer, while handling many everyday oven jobs faster. It cannot replace a full-size oven for large roasts, tall cookware, multiple trays, steam baking or holiday-scale meals.

The US-market Ninja French Door Premier Air Fryer, Convection Oven and Toaster is model FO101. Launch coverage placed its price at about $279.99, although current prices can change. It uses two doors that open together with one pull and reaches a maximum temperature of 450°F.

The external dimensions come from RTINGS’ measurements. The unit also needs room for the French doors to swing outward. Do not measure only the appliance’s footprint: leave clearance at the front and sides, and avoid placing it where a wall, bottle or neighboring appliance blocks the doors.
What it can replace
For a one- to four-person household, the FO101 could consolidate several countertop appliances. It is well suited to:
- Toast and bagels
- Frozen foods and pizza
- Fries, wings, tofu and vegetables
- Chicken breasts and modest poultry portions
- One-pan weeknight meals
- Roasted vegetables and small roasts
- Reheated pizza, quesadillas and chicken parmesan
- Small batches of baked goods
- Dehydrated snacks
That is a meaningful replacement: many households could remove a toaster oven and basket air fryer, then use the FO101 for most quick meals. Its small chamber also heats faster than a conventional oven for many portions.

What it cannot replace
The critical limitation is not the number of programs; it is the cooking chamber. RTINGS measured approximately 4.9 inches of usable height, with two rack positions. That rules out or complicates:
- Large turkeys and large roasts
- Tall casseroles and Dutch ovens
- Multiple full-size baking trays
- Large sheet-pan dinners
- Several unrelated dishes cooked at once
- Recipes that depend on steam
- Recipes requiring a built-in temperature probe
- Large family or holiday meals
In other words, it can substantially reduce how often a small household uses a range oven. It is not a like-for-like replacement for the oven beneath a conventional range.
How well does it air fry?
Independent testing suggests that the FO101 is fast and capable, but not automatically crisper or more even than every dedicated basket air fryer.

In RTINGS’ test, it took 16:08 to reach 45% moisture loss. Its fries test produced 61.3% crispy fries, 9.7% overcooked fries and 29.0% undercooked fries. That is useful performance, but it also shows why a heavily loaded basket may not cook evenly.
Homes & Gardens found zucchini fries cooked through but only slightly crisp. Results will vary with food shape, coating, oil, load size and rack position. Ninja’s claim of up to 5 pounds of fries describes capacity, not a guarantee that the maximum load will brown uniformly.
Ninja also claims cooking up to 60% faster than conventional ovens and up to 75% less fat than traditional frying. Both figures need context: “up to 60%” is not an average time saved against every oven, and the fat comparison is with deep frying—not with another air fryer or a specific health outcome. Is the 90-second preheat claim realistic?
The 90-second preheat is a manufacturer and retailer claim, not a universal promise. Mode selection, room temperature, voltage and whether the appliance starts empty can affect the result. Independent testing supports the broader conclusion that the FO101 preheats and cooks quickly, but owners should still begin checking food earlier than package instructions suggest. Fast cooking can darken edges before the center is finished.
French doors: useful, but not free
The doors open together, making it easier to reach a tray and keeping a large pull-down door from extending far across the counter. That can be more comfortable when checking food.

The trade-off is layout. The doors swing outward, so the FO101 may be awkward in a tight corner or beside countertop clutter. Its roughly 16-by-16-inch footprint is already substantial, and the door clearance makes the total space requirement larger. Homes & Gardens’ review also noted that some accessories can be fiddly and may need to be stacked.

Cleaning and safety
Dishwasher-safe racks, trays, the air-fry basket and crumb tray make routine cleanup easier, but they do not make the appliance maintenance-free. Grease and crumbs still collect inside the chamber, and RTINGS found that the interior itself is not coated. Wipe spills promptly, empty the crumb tray regularly and clean grease before it becomes baked-on residue.
Take special care with parchment and aluminum foil. TechRadar reported that the FO101’s cyclonic airflow pulled unsecured paper or foil toward the heating element during testing. Follow the FO101 owner’s manual and Ninja’s safety instructions for permitted materials and placement. Never use loose parchment or foil in a high-airflow mode, overload the basket, obstruct the doors or operate the appliance without appropriate clearance.

Verdict
The Ninja French Door Premier is best understood as a versatile countertop oven that can replace several smaller appliances and reduce reliance on a full-size oven. Its speed, 12-inch pizza capacity, six-slice toast capacity and broad program selection make it a strong fit for everyday meals. But its shallow cooking chamber, lack of steam and lack of a temperature probe prevent it from replacing every conventional-oven task.
