BLUETTI’s CES 2025 announcements covered two very different backup-power products: the Apex 300, a modular portable power station for outdoor use and flexible outage backup, and the EnergyPro 6K, a stationary home-energy storage system designed for electrical-panel integration.
They overlap in features such as 120V/240V operation, LiFePO4 batteries, solar compatibility, and expansion. They are not interchangeable, however. The Apex 300 is portable power with home-backup capabilities; the EnergyPro 6K is a fixed installation that requires substantially more planning, equipment, and electrical work.

BLUETTI also used the names Bluepeak, Bluelink, Bluegrid, and Bluelife for related technology and ecosystem concepts. The original CES coverage described both headline products as expected to launch in the second quarter of 2025. That was a forecast, not a permanent availability date. BLUETTI later announced a May 20, 2025 launch date for the Apex 300, and the product is now listed on the company’s U.S. store. The EnergyPro 6K has an official specification and purchasing page, but its price depends on the selected configuration.

BLUETTI Apex 300: portable power with home-backup potential
The Apex 300 is a high-output portable power station rather than a conventional permanently installed home battery. Its base specifications are:
| Specification | Apex 300 |
|---|---|
| Battery capacity | 2,764.8Wh |
| Rated output | 3,840W |
| Listed lifting/surge capability | 7,680W |
| Battery chemistry | LiFePO4 |
| Voltage capability | 120V/240V in supported configurations |
| Advertised maximum system expansion | Approximately 58kWh and 11.5kW |
The 2.7648kWh and 3.84kW figures apply to the base Apex 300. The much larger capacity and output figures are system-level claims that require additional batteries, units, and compatible equipment. A base unit priced as a single power station does not include 58kWh of storage or 11.5kW of output.
Expansion and parallel operation
BLUETTI says the Apex 300 can expand from approximately 2.7kWh to 58kWh and from approximately 3.8kW to 11.5kW. CES coverage also described operation of up to three Apex 300 units in parallel and support for up to 18 battery packs in a broader configuration.
These headline figures matter primarily to buyers planning a larger backup system. They also show why the total installed or configured cost can be substantially higher than the price of the base power station. Expansion batteries, parallel-operation hardware, solar equipment, transfer equipment, and wiring may all be separate considerations.
What 120V/240V means
120V/240V capability makes the Apex 300 more versatile than a typical single-voltage portable battery. In an appropriate configuration, split-phase output can support some larger appliances, workshop equipment, pumps, HVAC equipment, and potentially EV charging.
It does not mean every outlet on one base unit provides 240V, nor does it guarantee that every 240V appliance will operate. Buyers must verify:

- The required voltage, amperage, connector, and charging behavior.
BLUETTI advertises a 12kW bypass capability on the Apex 300 product page. Bypass capacity is not the same as the battery-backed output available when the grid is down; it should not be interpreted as proof that a base unit can run an entire house.
BLUETTI also advertises 0ms UPS switchover, up to 19.2kW of solar input with SolarX 4K in an expanded system, and other system-level features. Those claims depend on the configuration and should be checked against the current manual and installation documentation.
See BLUETTI’s Apex 300 specifications and consult the official manual.
BLUETTI EnergyPro 6K: a stationary home-energy system
The EnergyPro 6K is designed for fixed home energy storage, not for moving between a house, RV, and campsite. BLUETTI’s published specifications include:

The EnergyPro 6K can reportedly be expanded by paralleling up to five units, producing a claimed maximum system total of 38.4kWh and 29kW. Those are maximum configurations, not the capacity and output of the entry-level system.
BLUETTI describes the EnergyPro platform as compatible with solar, generators, and potentially EVs or other energy sources through the complete system and its supporting equipment. Compatibility should be confirmed for the exact inverter, charger, vehicle, generator, and electrical configuration rather than assumed from the general product description.
The AT1 Smart Distribution Panel
The AT1 is the electrical integration hardware intended to connect the EnergyPro system—and, according to BLUETTI, compatible Apex 300 configurations—to a home’s electrical infrastructure. It is not simply an app accessory.

The practical dividing line is simple: choose the Apex 300 when portability and modularity matter; consider the EnergyPro 6K when the goal is a professionally integrated home-energy system.
What “whole-home backup” really requires
A battery’s advertised wattage does not automatically make it a whole-home backup system. The installation must account for both the home’s electrical service and the loads that need to operate during an outage.
Selected circuits versus the whole service
Many installations back up a critical-loads panel containing refrigeration, internet equipment, lighting, medical equipment, a sump pump, or selected outlets. Whole-service backup requires enough inverter output, battery capacity, transfer equipment, and service compatibility to support the intended loads.
Central air conditioning, electric resistance heating, electric water heaters, well pumps, compressors, and workshop tools can draw substantial power. Some also have startup surges several times higher than their running demand. A system that looks adequate on a nameplate comparison may still trip or fail to start the appliance.
Never connect a portable power station to a house through an improvised backfeed connection. Proper transfer equipment and code-compliant wiring are necessary to protect occupants, utility workers, and the equipment itself.
Solar does not eliminate the need for planning
The Apex 300 is called a solar generator, but it stores electricity rather than producing it independently. Solar panels, the grid, a fuel-powered generator, or another charging source is required. Solar production also varies with weather, roof orientation, shading, season, and system limits.

Estimating runtime before you buy
Capacity is not the same as usable runtime. In practice, AC conversion losses, inverter efficiency, reserve settings, temperature, battery age, and the appliance’s operating cycle reduce the energy delivered to the load.
For rough planning:
Estimated runtime ≈ usable battery watt-hours ÷ appliance watts
For example, a 100W load connected to a battery with roughly 2,764.8Wh of nominal capacity would produce a simple theoretical calculation of 27.6 hours. Actual AC runtime will be lower and may vary significantly. A refrigerator also cycles on and off, while a pump or compressor may require a high startup surge.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Use the calculation as a planning aid, not a guarantee. Ask the installer or manufacturer to assess the actual starting and running loads for:
- Refrigerators and freezers.
- Internet equipment and home networking.
- CPAP machines and other medical devices.
- Microwaves and portable cooking equipment.
- Portable air conditioners.
- Sump and well pumps.
- Electric water heaters and HVAC systems.
- EV chargers.
A single Apex 300 or EnergyPro 6K may be appropriate for essential loads while being inadequate for long-duration whole-home operation, electric heating, central HVAC, or EV charging without additional system capacity and careful load management.

A smaller portable power station is usually the better choice for phones, laptops, routers, lights, or a CPAP machine. Buying a large expandable system for those loads adds cost without solving a larger problem.
A larger modular portable ecosystem from companies such as EcoFlow, Anker SOLIX, or Jackery may be worth comparing when portability, 240V output, and battery expansion are priorities. Compare the complete cost of batteries, hubs, transfer equipment, solar input, and accessories—not just the headline unit.
For a permanent home battery, products from Tesla, Enphase, FranklinWH, Generac, and other regional providers may be more directly comparable to EnergyPro. Installer availability, local pricing, permitting, service support, and incentives can differ substantially by location.
A conventional gasoline, propane, or dual-fuel generator may be more practical when long-duration backup is the priority, fuel is readily available, and automatic operation or rapid refueling matters more than silent, emissions-free operation. Conversely, batteries have advantages in indoor comfort, noise, and routine maintenance, subject to their capacity and installation limits.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsBottom line
BLUETTI’s CES 2025 announcement was significant because it addressed two parts of the backup-power market at once. The Apex 300 extends a portable power station into higher-output, modular, and potentially home-integrated use. The EnergyPro 6K takes the opposite approach: it is a larger, stationary energy-storage system built around electrical-panel integration.
For construction and home-improvement planning, the key question is not simply which unit has the higher wattage. It is whether the project needs movable backup or a permitted, professionally integrated energy system—and whether the complete configuration can support the home’s actual starting loads, runtime expectations, wiring, solar equipment, and budget.
