If you want a post light with a remote included, Techko’s SHL-909-1 solar pillar light is the closest match identified here. Techko lists four lighting options, four timer options and automatic dusk-to-dawn operation, but its product page showed the light as sold out when reviewed. Check the current listing and confirm the model details before buying. A smaller Feit lantern offers remote grouping, while a smart plug can add app control to some plug-in lights; neither is a direct substitute for a full-height post fixture.

These are different kinds of products, not equivalent fixtures in a head-to-head comparison. The specifications above come from manufacturer pages and have not been independently tested: Techko SHL-909-1, Feit OneSync lantern and TP-Link TP25.
Which option suits your installation?
For a solar pillar or fence post
The Techko SHL-909-1 is the most direct fit if you need a solar post-style light and want a remote in the box. Before ordering, confirm the product is available, that its mounting format matches your post, and that the intended location receives suitable sunlight. The manufacturer’s runtime descriptions do not agree, so neither figure should be treated as a guaranteed nightly duration.
For a smaller garden accent
Feit’s OneSync square solar lantern is a landscape light, not a full-height lamp-post replacement. It may work as a lower garden accent where 20 lumens is appropriate. Feit says it can be grouped and controlled remotely and operate from dusk to dawn for up to eight hours. The shepherd’s hook is sold separately, so include that in installation planning if you want to hang it.

For an existing plug-in outdoor light
The TP-Link TP25 may add app-based remote switching to a compatible plug-in light. It is not a lamp post, and its listing does not establish compatibility with hardwired fixtures. Confirm the plug, load and installation arrangement suit the light and local electrical requirements before using it outdoors.

What to check before buying or installing
- Match the fixture to the mounting point. Confirm whether you need a full-height post fixture, a pillar or fence-post cap, or a small landscape lantern. They are not interchangeable formats.
- Choose the control you actually need. Techko supplies a wireless remote; Feit supports remote grouping and control; the TP25 uses app control for a compatible plug-in light. The TP25 does not make a hardwired lamp remotely controllable.
- Read weather ratings as specifications, not guarantees. Techko and TP-Link list IP65 ratings. These are manufacturer claims, not independent test results; check the product’s installation instructions and suitability for the specific exposure at your site.
- Plan around power and placement. Solar models depend on sunlight at the installation location. A smart plug requires a compatible powered light and a suitable outdoor electrical setup.
- Check the complete package and live listing. Verify that the stated model, remote or other controls, mounting parts and any separate accessories are included. In particular, Feit’s shepherd’s hook is separate, and Techko’s page showed sold-out status when reviewed.
How to choose
- Decide on the fixture format. If you need a traditional post-style light, focus on a post or pillar fixture such as the Techko model rather than treating a small lantern as an equivalent replacement.
- Check the control method. Select an included handheld remote if that is essential; choose app control through a plug only when the light is a compatible plug-in model.
- Confirm the installation conditions. For solar, assess sunlight and mounting fit. For a plug-in light, confirm outdoor suitability and compatibility; leave hardwired installation to an appropriately qualified professional where required.
- Verify current product details. Check the manufacturer listing for stock, model number, included accessories and specifications before purchase. Do not rely on a runtime estimate where the same page gives conflicting figures.
