The practical choice is the model that fits your household, rice habits and local electrical requirements. Verify the exact model suffix, local availability, voltage, warranty and manual before buying.
How to choose a Philips rice cooker
Start with the amount of rice you cook at once, then compare supported rice types, controls, heating design, keep-warm settings and cleaning needs. Philips offers basic one-touch models as well as digital, fuzzy-logic and induction designs; features on one model should not be assumed to appear on another.
- Match capacity to your cooking. Compare the capacity as Philips lists it for the exact model. Some pages use litres and others also give cup counts; do not assume cup figures are directly equivalent without checking that model’s manual.
- Check menus against what you eat. If you regularly cook brown, sushi or mixed rice, confirm that the specific product page or manual names those options. Menu totals alone do not show which rice types are supported.
- Choose the controls and design you want. One-touch operation prioritizes simplicity; digital controls and induction models offer different controls and preset options. The listed specifications do not establish which design cooks better.
- Decide whether keep-warm duration matters. Treat stated durations as manufacturer claims, not independent assessments of food quality or food safety.
- Confirm the exact local version. Check suffix, voltage, warranty, current instructions and whether the model is actually offered in your region before purchasing.
Philips rice cooker models at a glance
The figures below are manufacturer-listed specifications, not comparative test results. Product status and configurations can vary by market and model suffix.
| Model | Listed capacity and power | Listed features | What to investigate |
|---|---|---|---|
| HD4515/30, 3000 Series Digital | 1.8 L; 400 W; 220 V | 10 menus; up to 48-hour keep-warm; detachable inner lid; steam tray, measuring cup and scoop included. | Could suit a household wanting several programs, if this exact model and voltage are available locally. |
| HD3138/35, 5000 Series | 2.0 L; 650 W | Stainless-steel body, 3D heating, five-layer pot; up to 24-hour keep-warm. | Consider the stated capacity and advertised pot and heating design; durability and cooking-evenness language is Philips’ claim. |
| HD4568/50, Avance IH | 4 L bowl; 1250 W; 110 V | Induction heating; four rice types, three texture options, 15 cooking programs and touch controls. | Investigate if you want more listed options and the larger bowl, but confirm voltage, regional availability and manual. |
| HD4729/60 | 1.8 L / 10 cups; 700 W; 220 V | One-touch operation; 12-hour keep-warm; steam tray, cup and scoop included. | A simpler-control option to check, including whether it remains available in your market. |
| HD4754/00 | 1.8 L / 10 cups; 825 W or 900 W depending on listed electrical version | Menus include region-specific rice types and other dishes; 12-hour keep-warm. | A legacy model to use as a reference or second-hand comparison; verify local status and the electrical version. |
Which model fits your household?
For several preset programs
The HD4515/30 lists 10 menus, while the HD4568/50 lists 15 programs plus four rice types and three texture options. These counts describe different features and should not be treated as directly comparable menu sets. Check the named rice settings in the exact model’s manual if a particular type matters to you.

For straightforward operation
The HD4729/60 is described as a one-touch cooker. Philips also lists the HD4515/30 as a digital model and the HD4568/50 as an induction model with touch controls. Choose based on the interaction and programs you need rather than assuming that more controls guarantee better rice.

For a specific heating or pot design
The HD3138/35 page advertises 3D heating and a five-layer pot. The HD4568/50 is identified as an induction-heating model. Those descriptions can help narrow a feature preference, but the listed information does not establish a measured difference in cooking results or coating life.
Keep-warm claims: compare the stated duration carefully
Philips lists up to 48 hours for HD4515/30, up to 24 hours for HD3138/35, and 12 hours for HD4729/60 and HD4754/00. These are manufacturer specifications; they are not independent findings about food quality or safe holding conditions. Follow the instructions supplied for the exact cooker and use appropriate food-safety guidance rather than treating a keep-warm limit as a safety guarantee.

Voltage, region and product status
Electrical versions are not interchangeable assumptions: the HD4515/30 listing specifies 220 V, whereas HD4568/50 specifies 110 V. The HD4754/00 has 825 W and 900 W versions in the listed electrical specifications. Check the rating label and regional Philips page for the exact suffix you are considering; a model name alone may not identify the correct electrical configuration.
Philips’ Philippines catalog includes regional model listings and explicit discontinued labels, but a catalog entry or search result is not a live stock check. Availability, warranty and current instructions can differ by country, seller and suffix. Confirm them locally before purchase, especially for older models such as HD4754/00.

Cleaning and replacement accessories
Product pages identify accessories such as measuring cups, scoops and steam trays for particular models. Their inclusion does not establish that accessories or inner pots fit other Philips cookers. For a replacement inner pot or part, match the complete model number and ask Philips support or the seller to confirm compatibility before ordering.
Philips’ manual listing for the HD3011/HD3012/HD3015/HD3016/HD3017/HD3018 family is a useful example of model-specific documentation: it covers the named family, not every Philips cooker. Use the manual for your exact unit for cooking instructions, cleaning and replacement-part guidance.
