- Start with the recipe’s stated capacity. A pan’s cup capacity is a useful guide to recipe fit. Do not assume a recipe designed for one capacity will work unchanged in another.

Why Nordic Ware is known for Bundt pans
Nordic Ware says it was founded in Minneapolis in 1946 by Dotty and Dave Dalquist and remains family-owned. The company reports that most of its products are made at its Minneapolis factory and that its range includes bakeware, cookware, microwave products, outdoor grillware, and accessories.
In its company history, Nordic Ware traces its original cast-aluminum fluted Bundt pan to the early 1950s. It says a Tunnel of Fudge cake baked in one of its pans placed second at the 1966 Pillsbury Bake-Off and helped spark national demand. That account is the company’s published history, not an independent measurement of sales or popularity.
